Do you think it's outrageous that they're charging this trailer trash for child porn but not the mass murder/assassination attempt?

19 y/o Trailer Trash Sideshow Freak, Alexander Hillel Treisman, aka Alexander S. Theiss, originally from Seattle now living in North Carolina was arrested after his van was found with LOADED GUNS and CHILD PORN who was trying to assassinate JOE BIDEN!!

Employees at a bank in Kannapolis called 5-0 to investigate a white van that was left in the parking lot and cops found tons of arsenal and explosives including an AR-15 rifle, books on bomb making and more than 500,000!!

He extensively researched Joe Biden and was obsessed with mass murderse and had an interest in racist ideologies

He posted an iFunny meme on April 15 with "Should i kill Joe Biden?"

He traveled to a Wendy's within 4 miles of Biden's home and took a screenshot of it which was consistent with a surveillance and attack plan

He made internet searches about Biden's home address, state gun laws, rifle parts and night vision goggles as well as QAnon searches

He is held on child pornography charges but NOT been charged with a crime related to his possesion of guns or evidence of a terror plot against the presidential candidate

They also found 509,000 in US Cash believed to be an INHERITANCE, books on survival and hunting as well as swastikas and planes crashing into buildings.

They found child porn on EIGHT different devices and that is the crime he's being pinned on currently

Investigators also found a note on Oct 15, 2019 on his Samsung S9 with plans to commit a mass shooting at a mall on Black Friday or Christmas

He made an audio recording narrating the perfect "porn video" where he described killing a FAMILY

They also found a picture of a rental agreement for an apartment in CANADA where he planned on escaping after his attacks

A lawyer for him asked an agent if he was aware that his defendant has Asperger syndrome as a court filing says Treisman was asked if he had any mental issues and he said he did not

Do you think it's outrageous that he's only being charged with child porn and NOT for an assassination/mass murder plot?

Well, I guess technically he never actually tried to kill Joe Biden and there's probably a certain threshold for threatening politicians he didn't meet. And where the guy has a history of planning but not executing attacks, the idea that he's a credible threat was likely diminished.

If he planned out a mass shooting for an event in 2019 yet didn't mass shoot in 2019, by what logic would you charge him for a plot concerning something he never attempted?

Otherwise the general problem with "plots" is that up until certain action points, it's just ideation. There was a cop a while back who had a journal where he fantasized about killing and eating his ex-wife, which went into detailed plans. Grisly shit, to be sure, but up until he does something illegal, it's just fantasy. In the cop's case, he was eventually acquitted on appeal (although the other unrelated charge stuck). Basically there's an exceptional amount of gray area when it's just one person involved in something like this. If you have multiple people, then it's a lot easier to demonstrate intent and build a case.

That and they already have him on the other charges which should put him away for a long time.

Or, you know, different courts or DAs handling different cases; he could only be charged for this by one, and conspiracy by another. I'd probably have to look into it, but no thanks.

I'm pretty sure both are federal crimes, but I guess there's always the possibility that the other charges could come later.
