Which One?

If you was forced to keep only one of these appliances in your home/apt, which one would you pick?

Fridge. I can cook with a hot plate, crock pot, or other small appliances even without an oven or microwave, but I can't store food without a fridge. Even if you're ruling out all cooking appliances, I'd still say fridge, because being able to store the food I prepare is generally more valuable than being able to prepare hot food.

I can build a fire. I have barbecues in my apartment complex. I have camping stoves. As was already said, I have a half dozen other appliances I can cook with in my kitchen. I'm not lugging a sleeve of ice a half km from the gas station down the street everyday to keep most of my food in an igloo cooler at home.

So yes, just in terms of pure inconvenience, the fridge outweighs the stove or microwave in every important respect.

Forgot, but Hot Plates and any other Indoor 'Heating/Frying/Baking' Appliances don't count...

But you can use Outdoor ones not electric powered (like a Small Gas/Kerosene/Charcoal Grill)

What about cooking food by inserting bare wires directly into it and plugging it into the wall?

Microwave/oven, I just wouldn't bother with leftovers.

Fridge/freezer only would limit you to cold cuts, etc.

with a fridge you can keep food way longer and there's lot's of cold food. plus you could just heat food another way. like grilling or hot plate or starting a fire or whatever.

with an oven you would have to buy fresh stuff constantly and cook it right away. or only buy things that can last a few days without going bad.

fridge is more practical.
