I mean the first Fire Emblem honestly kind of sucks.

From what I can tell they still haven't added movement range tiles to this version, so you'll still have to count how far units can move in your head. Probably still have to do battle calculations yourself too. That matters way more to me than save states.

Probably still have weapon ranks randomly level up too, and healers not being able to earn exp unless they're attacked... this might not be a great buy.

did they fix this stuff in FE 3?

I think it's that mages can't level up magic, so they have whatever their base is plus whatever the might of the tome is.

The Magic stat does not exist and almost everyone's Res is zero, so yes, magic is for all intents and purposes set damage.

I'm in the middle of a FE1 replay!

I'd probably buy it if I find it in the wild (which is most likely never, but the intention is there). I don't even have a Switch but I'd do it for the packaging alone which looks cool.

That's a crazy amount of modern "features" in this one. Rewinding to previous turns, bookmarks...

They'er wuss features for sure, and they defeat the purpose of the risk of arenas, but isn't the rewind feature available on every other retro game on Switch?

At first I thought this was for a remake of Fire Emblem 3. I was so disappointed to see that it was a fancy port of the first Fire Emblem. And the Collector's Edition doesn't even have a physical cartridge?! AND the digital version is getting pulled on March 31st?!

Also, What happens if you end up buying the Collector's Edition after March 31st? Will you still be able to download the game? Overall, I do still love Nintendo, but this is one of the stupidest decisions I've seen them make yet.
