Been in a weird situation. I've been trying to do some independent work that didn't work out, and I essentially ghost worked for my mom's job because she got placed too high out of corona panic, and I knew how to do her job. But now that that's all over with, I've sorta been meandering, been working through some mental issues that I'm hoping one day would be manageable.

One day though... I'll probably find a job that doesn't suck out my soul

Yeah would be great if there was a cure-all vaccine for crippling depression. Honestly Covid has affected my life not so much. I was already kind of neat to begin with, and the only place I frequently go out to are trails, which I guess is not exactly safe.

Can't say for your area, but the trades are doing OK. We're still interviewing and hiring apprentices, but with winter arriving and the slowdown that accompanies it, it's is no sure thing either.

I'm an electrician, things in my area are slow right now. I'm not in immediate danger because I'm fortunate to be in a good position with my company. There's a couple big things coming up. Nationally, there are big projects, if you're willing to go. As you'd just be starting out? You're cheap labor, and would gain a trade. Electricians and plumbers aren't going to go away yet

Started working 3 weeks ago finally. It fucking sucks. Only job that messaged me back was a moving company. Now driving a 5 ton truck and moving houses. Feels like I'm going to die this week.
