Not suicidal or depressed, but I'm really bored with this life.

I feel like the only novel thing left is figuring out what happens after I die. Notice I said I. My experience will be unique to myself and I want to know what it will be.

Because of this, I'm okay with dying an untimely death, and I'm okay with doing things that have a high risk of dying such as driving a motorcycle, learning paramotoring, learning to fly a plane, etc.

I'd say you're gonna end up being disappointed but you wont even realize because you'll just be dead.

Most likely nothing happens. There is a small chance some kind of afterlife exists. But I wouldn't rush to find out and yea, even if there is nothing, you won't really be aware of it. You just lose consciousness and then that's it. If you wake up in heaven or the elysian fields or Valhalla or whatever, cool. But that probably won't happen

You need therapy dude. And you need to find a purpose and some hobbies.

For all we know, when we die, there is no after life. Imagine living with no conscious. You can't.

You're at the wrong place for this conversation. CEmen are too much of downers to even entertain the idea of something after this. Because to them, being a realist means you can't even have fun entertaining someone else. That's not being self absorbed tho, it's being a realist. Just remember that it's definitely not self absorbed.

yeah the responses in this topic really indicate that.

I get a huge sense of narcissism and ego with the conviction and certainty they speak of what happens after we die.

If there was a life before this one, people would also be saying nothing happens.

Truth is nobody knows.

What a few neckbeards think is "most likely" (whether religious or not) is truly useless spewing of diarrhea.

Whether you're Stephen Hawking or a gamefaqs neckbeard who took a few wussy classes in college (highest to lowest in the apectrum) nobody that has been dead has been able to come back and describe it.

We simply do not know.

Looking back. Maybe I did use past experiences here, more so than the ones from this actual topic. None of you guys were really all that rude about your outlooks. It was more so me knowing what direction this topic would go before entering and then seeing that confirmed but also through the lense of already being irritable about past experiences. So yeah, I'm not gonna take back that post, but I will add that it's not actually directed at the people in this topic. I was easily the most disrespectful person in this topic.

You be on the internet for 15+ years with most these types of topics constantly going a certain way, you might end up a lil jaded when it comes up. Mix that with a personal experience I just had the other day that makes me a lil more sensitive to people who want to deny others the piece of mind they might get from not being so closed off.

Life's greatest mystery isn't what happens after we die. We know what happens. Scientists have thoroughly investigated the matter with every possible test imaginable. You die. That's it. There is no Heaven. There is no Hell. There is nothing. If spirits left the body we'd have SOME way of detecting it by now.

Life's greatest mystery is why the fuck is deep sea life so fucking horrific? Does ugliness give innate protection to water pressure? That's what we need to get to the bottom of!

The only test there is, is the one no one can come back from. I'm not saying you're right or wrong, I'm saying no one knows. Why do you think we'd have some way of detecting the soul? Humans don't know everything about the universe - there are still mysteries to be solved, including that of death itself.

Total ignorance. He thinks if he types in all caps or bold that it means that it's absolutely true. It's totally foolish.

Something as complex as a next life is undetectable. It would be like if we were all in World of Warcraft, and this guy would be the one telling us that there isn't a life outside of the game which is the only life we would know.

They'd keep telling us THERE'S NOTHING OUTSIDE OF HERE. YOU DIE. THAT'S IT.

When really nobody knows shit about that. Keep posting in bold and all caps. Say whatever you want. You're just a human and so is everyone else. And no one has been there and back.

And now that I've said this, because it's the internet, I'll likely be called stupid and attacked. The internet is dumb af and people are predictable.

No one has died and come back. We can't know because we are all alive. Period.

Also the fact that you think we would have some way to detect that by now is stupid lol.

What does he say about always feeling like something is directed specifically at you when people generalize? Cause people who generalize a lot of the time are just aiming at whoever will read it and feel slighted by it. Then you out yourself when you get offended, for lack of a better word. Not saying that happened in this situation. It's just a very effective technique overall
