I'm gonna get a vinyl player tomorrow but I don't want to invest in new speakers. The vinyl player I'm gonna get has a pre-amp built in and I think I have active speakers. (Bose Soundlink Color). My soundlink can take in an aux cable. Is there any way to connect the aux connection to analog output?

I think I need the opposite, the wire that comes with my vinyl player (AT-LP60XBT) is a "1/8 to dual RCA cable". So I need to plug the red and white wires into a converter to aux.

By the way, will this process digitize the analog signal or will it still stay analog? If it becomes digital, then the cable is useless as my vinyl has bluetooth anyway.

Will that cable convert the analog audio to digital in the process?

not sure about that. my hearing is so bad it didn't really matter to me when hooking it up to my system.

Oh, well either way it should be good.
Apparently, they are successors of Technics. That's a good thing.

Idk, it seems like an interesting hobby to me. I like the artwork that comes with vinyl and the experience. Plus, gives a talking point.

Apparently, if audio is converted to digital, it "defeats" the purpose of listening to vinyl. Plus, my record player has bluetooth capability so if the audio does indeed convert to digital, then it's a bit redundant buying wires.

Ya, if the output is digital, to some extent it does defeat the purpose.
But the sound is still going to feel more real.

Aux cable will not convert to digital on its own but if plugged into something like a TV the TV may do it internally. I have no way to know if whatever soundbar you're using does this.

I also just want to comment here and say this isn't "true"

Yes there's always a quality downgrade when going from analog to digital but the purpose of vinyl is to have a huge ass album cover with art and having to do shit like put down the Needle and flip the record and you have to listen to it on a specific order without skipping and such.

HOWEVER digital music is far higher quality than vinyl so if your aim is to get the highest quality* sounds then you are just wasting your time.

*This assumes that the original recording was mastered digitally. This means essentially any release that was available on a CD at release and later.

Older records, 70s and earlier did not have access to anything digital so those records and only those records will have the most accurate high fidelity sound to the original recording. Digital remasters may exist and be higher quality but that's like watching Turner classic movies colorized. It's not for everyone & purely a matter of opinion. Modern digital recordings having higher quality sound is a fact, however.

I think the AT-LP60XUSB is what you are looking for.
And I am pretty sure you would be happy with that.

My gf is a huge Vinyl freak, like over a thousand records, and she always tells me the speakers are the most important part. If you can afford to invest in high end speakers it's worth it.
