MrMelodramatic 10/16/20 11:26:28 PM #1:	Well I don't know how to cook so I'm trying to make dinner. I'm doing a simple soup for starters. For dinner dinner I'm making spaghetti with marinara sauce and spicy Italian meatballs (+ mushrooms, peppers, and onion, basil, parsley, and parmesan). I'm making toasted garlic bread to go with the pasta. I bought a semi-sweet red wine but I don't know anything about wine so idk lol. And for dessert i bought chocolate and a bunch of ingredients (salty, sweet, sour, and spicy) so we can make our own chocolate bars. then after, or possibly during, we'll be playing Luigi's Mansion 3 and Mario Galaxy. The harder part will be making chocolate, I think, but even that is just melt-mix-freeze. The bottle I bought says it pairs well with fruit and spicy dishes, and we're eating spicy meatballs and some of the chocolate ingredients are fruit, so I thought it might be okay. I was already spending a few nights a week at her place by that time, I think. Oct 17 is just the day one of us possibly asked if we were a couple, and the other said yes. If you're not tempering it (presuming you're using actual chocolate and not compound chocolate that doesn't require tempering), you're going to end up with a subpar product. Most notably, you'll likely see some pale blotches appearing on the surface fairly soon after it's cooled. Don't worry about those, they're completely harmless (it's called "blooming," and is a consequence of fat and sugar crystals migrating to the surface because it's un-/poorly tempered) and the chocolate's still totally edible, it just won't be quite as nice as a commercial chocolate bar. --- This is my signature.
