Maybe I'm a bad American but the logic of "See Obama was bad because his drone strikes that killed thousands of innocent foreign people killed 1 Innocent American too" just seems fucked up to me.

The implication seems to be that if this kid wasn't at the cafe then the strikes aren't important or that bad

Truth. It's cold and ruthless to have innocent people end up dying horrifically to potentially kill a enemy of ours, but this is the price for "peace" in our world today. IMO it's tragic, but to prevent absolutely ruining our relations with other countries and end up in wars that will result in the deaths of our own the drone strikes are the better option. All the people who greatly disapprove can do is to speak out against it, but that will probably do little in the grand scheme of things.

He was unfortunately collateral. I dont condone drones or any of this war crap, but at the same time, I think every president is going to have blood in his/her hands from abroad wars. This doesn't make it right, but how can it be unavoided??

Many of these same posters will be happy to point out the rampant whataboutism of China, but apparently are happy to whatabout their own country's evils by simply pointing out all the other leaders have also done them. Really frightening. Can't point to other countries so literally use their own country to whatabout over.
