The night brims with defiled scum, and is permeated by their rotten stench.
Just think. Now you're all set to hunt and kill to your heart's content.

Is it confined to just a single room? I had this issue several years back but it was limited to just the pantry. I had to throw away a bunch of stuff (rice, flour, cereal). Next step was to move all the sealed stuff out and super clean with a ton of simple green. I found a bunch of larvae on the walls while doing this. Any adult moths encountered were given the fly swatter treatment.

When you throw the stuff away, take it to the dumpster outside immediately. Anything that doesn't have a proper seal is probably worth considering infested to be on the safe side.

If this isn't confined to just a single room, you're going to have a much harder time with the deep cleaning to find any adult moths that are flying about. Typically larvae only exist where food source is readily accessible though. For me, deep cleaning extended to the kitchen (floor and walls).

We're surrounding you. We see you, but you probably don't see us. And if you see us, we're not letting on that we see you.

My aunt had this issue once.

We found the issue was an old box of cookies that was left unsealed in a high cabinet.

Cookies gone, moths went away in a few days.

They are mainly in the kitchen.

I recommend getting some kind of sealable container for the cat food. Rolled up and clipped bags are huge targets for bugs. Don't want kitty eating bugs and bug larve.
