I do however quite vividly remember their push to make Mog the mascot of the game: putting him on the boxart and all the advertisements, showing him turning motherfuckin' Doomgaze / Deathgaze into a pile of ash. Even the official player's guide gave him billing right after Terra and Locke, although that might have been just for the sake of presenting the party members in the exact order they appeared in the game. On the Genesis, they had two Beauty and the Beast games they released at the same time. One you controlled Belle and the other you controlled Beast. I played the Beast one growing up and it felt like a budget title compared to Aladdin or Lion King. Little mermaid for the nes was awesome. Scared the shit out of me as a kid. Hell underwater things scare me.
