I will show you the dark side.

...Honestly no. Even before he lost to Rey (which was fair given how he got shot by Chewie's bowcaster which had been shown to send people fucking flying, was conflicted from killing his father AND was trying to recruit her, not kill her) he just seemed like a raging manchild. His 2 cool moments in TFA were freezing Poe's blaster shot in mid air and freezing + knocking out Rey.

In TLJ he does a lot better than Rey against the throne room guards, but that's about it.

It's kind of a shame that they felt the need to bring back The Senate because of how little hype Kylo got as a main villain. I would've been 100% behind him being the main villain if they just let him do more shit. At least in TRoS he cleanly beat Rey, but it was too little too late at that point >_____>

Was he supposed to be? I only saw ep7. He did force stop a laser, but the moment he stepped within 10 feet of Rey he looked like a total pleb.

Intimidating? No, but I thought that he was a great character overall, though; he's probably my favorite in the series.

He's intimidating in the sense that you never know what he'll do next. He's not the superior badass that Vader was; he's an emotional firestorm that could spill over at any moment. He's scary in the way that a kid who tortures cats is scary. You know there's something fucked up about him, and you don't know how far he's willing to go.

He's a lot like how Anakin should have been in the prequels. Not as much whining, a lot more visceral rage. Tons of raw power, poorly controlled.

na but he was at least kinda interesting. If I recall correctly, they kinda made him a little bad ass in the last one. Like, the opening scene where he was killing off whomever that was looking for whatever it was. I only watched that shit show of a movie once, so I can't really remember.

They didn't even manage to make Snoke intimidating tbh .

god they fucked so much up, I'm upset now. Thanks TC.

Adam Driver's acting really helped Kylo be one of the better ST characters, yeah, but his character was just so god damn inconsistent. It was always obvious he was going to be redeemed, but the guy flip flopped between struggling with the light and being a full on evil douche way too much lol.

This pretty much. The way he stopped that laser blast, then went on a rampage on his own ship. Made him seem like an overpowered loose cannon, which would've been fitting and cool. Everything after that was lame.

I agree with this.

As a character he isn't really intimidating in the normal sense, but because he is a psycho loose cannon, you have NO IDEA what his next move will be.

Not really.

I saw him as the actual protagonist.

Just saying. Rey should have died, Ren tries to save her with the force healing bullshit, and Anakin's ghost comes in to talk him down and convince him he needs to let her go.

He takes the lightsabers to tatooine and buries them. Boom. Rise of Skywalker.
