I played a game with some randoms and we had 6 people left with 2 imposters alive, and they all voted skip but me. I called an emergency meeting trying to say that with 6 we have to kill and they were all "why do we need to kill, you're sus af".

Yeah I don't think I'll be doing many random games.

Occasionally you luck out with randos and get a decent lobby that's pretty fun, but it usually takes a while for one to build up.

It's kinda funny Crew is easier when with a group, but Imposter is easier with randoms.

Information tends to be the enemy of imposters. So like you have 10 players for example.

Red, Blue, Cyan, Yellow, Pink, White, Green, Black, Purple, Brown

Okay at game start on Skeld.
Brown, Black, White, Yellow, Cyan go to top right first.
Red, Purple and Blue go south first.
Pink and Green go left.

Lets say in this situation Brown is the first victim. Brown's body will be at the top of weapons.
Lights will be called like 25 seconds into this match. Blue and Red were in Admin together and let's say Blue was looking at the Admin table. and Purple and Red went and fixed lights. Blue sees that someone did not leave weapons after a long time and goes and checks it out. Finds Brown dead there and reports it.

This is what Blue saw on admin:
2 people in medbay for a while then 1 in upper engine then 1 in security and 1 in upper engine shortly after.
2 people in admin and 1 in storage then 2 in storage followed by 2 in electical.
1 in weapons, 2 in nav, 1 in o2 and 1 still in cafe. Later he sees 3 people migrate down to shields and then storage by round end. the last person ended in medbay.

In voice you can say you saw all this. figure out who is where and then narrow the suspects down to the 4 (5 including Blue) people remaining on the right. Because Red/Purple/Pink/Green were not possible to be this kill. You'll likely be told that Black and White were together the whole time too and did weapons then Nav then ran to lights together. Yellow and Cyan will both likely tell you the truth here because the information is too detailed now. Lets say Cyan was the one in o2 and Yellow did weapons and left to go left side after.

You can pretty much figure it's likely one of Blue/Cyan/Yellow at that point. Either Blue killed and self-reported or Cyan/Yellow did it.

In random lobbies this would likely not come out at all.

Green gets voted off. Yellow said nothing the entire time. Green and whoever accused green randomly likely argue the entire chat time away. Cyan gets cleared by people who left him alone for at least a few seconds.

Basically random lobbies information doesn't get shown like my first example that often. in that first example even if you don't vote anyone off there. You only have 3 suspects left. (And it's likely not blue.) So if 2 of them die you know the last one is guilty. If you never get that information. Say Blue and Yellow die next round, Cyan is now sus free.

Seeing the random names is fun. Also they break up the B8 Meta somewhat. Also playing in a lobby that is half b8/half randoms has been really fun actually for me.

I just heard there are some new options that are pending on beta.

1) Option to turn off the task bar (only updates during meetings)

2) Option to make votes anonymous

First option would be amazing. I'm completely down with that.

I'm not sure on if anonymous voting is good, I think that's the kind of information that's good to have.

Turning off task bar would be excellent.

I'm in the no task bar = good, anonymous voting = not good boat too.

Hmm... I understand why they would want Anonymous Voting. It's somewhat an unfun way to win/lose a game because people were dumb about how they voted.

I think there are situations where voting anonymously might be good.

Saying "Yeah I was one of the votes that killed X, and he was definitely an impostor" but not being able to *prove* it can add an interesting dynamic.

First addition I'm pretty sure is nothing but good. Like people should not be cleared for the whole game on Polus by Taskbar Terry by doing Rocket on the left. (Why is this task in drop ship? Mira's dropship at least doesn't have a quick bar fill right at the start that isn't a common task.)

That's fair. It can spice things up in a similar way that 3x movement speed spices things up.
