I finally watched The Mandalorian, and these Mandalorians seem a bit different than people like Canderous Ordo...

And going back the the Wookiepedia, seems like all the great stories about Malachor V, Revan vs. the Mandalorians, etc is no longer canon? I guess the history is similar enough though, the Mandalorians and the Jedi fight wars frequently throughout the millennia

When Disney acquired Star Wars back in 2012 everything that wasn't the 6 movie episodes, The Clone Wars tv show, and the Rebels tv show was de-canonized. They put all of the prior expanded universe into the "Legends" category, with everything new that released post-2012 being the "new" canon.

So yeah, this means the KotOR games and just about everything Old Republic related is no longer the case, in the Mandalorian, which is a part of Disney's new canon.

Currently yes. Although I'm sure there will be some sort of adaptation of it in the future.

There have been some aspects of Legends being re-canonized in some shape.

As far as I am aware it is back far enough to not be retconned. Everything old star wars is still canon until it's retconned.

I think The Mandalorian was over-hyped and not mind blowing or anything (really wish it was longer so characters could be more fleshed out), but it was decent and miles better than the garbage sequel movies. They should use this as a new jumping off point, recast a younger Luke/Leia/Han, make stories about how the New Republic and new Jedi Order are formed and the issues they encounter.

Rogue One was essentially the key plot points of the Kyle Katarn games, but with all the names changed.

Eh they'd just make them fight the imperial remnant so it'd end up feeling like more of the same.

About the only thing that survived from KotOR is the fact that there was a Sith called Darth Revan sometime in the past. We don't know anything about him in the current canon, though.

Oh, and the planet Malachor V as well, but it's different than the KotOR version.

Don't worry, the EU was never canon. Nothing has changed.

Lol true, or it would be another "the True Sith Empire emerges out of the unknown regions" narrative.
