My brother was in the police academy for like 6 weeks but dropped out bc he hated how paranoid the instructors were about everyone being a potential threat, and the weird military-esque drills they had to do. He said new recruits were basically trained from day one to trust nobody, which obviously didn't jive with good policing.

Something interesting the guy in the video says is how so much of their training was just sitting and watching videos of cops getting ambushed and killed and stuff. Then theyre told they get to use force based on their perceptions of situations.
