I tried FFXV on the PS4 Pro when it was first released. It felt really slow back then.

I just played the FFVII Remake demo and it was a lot of fun.

Reason I'm torn is because FFVII is 30 FPS on the PS4 and XV would be 60+ on a 2080 (don't know if it's capped). Also I already own XV and don't have VII Remake yet. Plus I'd be able to use cheats with XV.

I only have time to play one before I move on to something different.

Will you play FFVII Remake later on if you play XV now? If so, then play the one that isn't as good first, so you can then move onto the better one. That gives you the better chance at enjoying both as much as you can.

well i think FFVIIre is a better game, but the story might have you feeling lost since its made for those who already played it years ago. but not to the point where itll just get confusing. at the worst youll be like "uh, who's this guy? why didn't they explain"

ff15 is... its cool in that its open world and uh.. yeah.

no it sucks. if you like mashing x and triangle and going "WHAT IS HAPPENING" youll like it, but if not dont bother.

XV is really mediocre. VIIR is good, but I dunno if it's a good first FF. Might I suggest you try X or even XII the Zodiac Age?

XV's combat will feel unrefined if you play FFVIIR first.

15 Royal Edition is a great game. 15 and 7R are very different games though. Do you want an open world action rpg or a more streamlined action RPG?

7 Remake is coming to PC eventually if that matters to you

I will say, I very thoroughly enjoyed FF15 up to a certain point. At some point through you go from a big beautiful open world to a very linear hallway (and trainride) to the end and it just brings the whole experience down.

But people saying FF15 is irredeemable garbage are wrong. The first 2/3 or so was very fun.
