It happened just before 9am in a rural cornfield in Chandler Township as Jeffrey had been DROPPED OFF at the field so he could go hunt deer and then when he didn't find anything he had apparently fallen asleep. A 25 y/o man returned to the field to finish harvesting not knowing anybody was in the field and drove a large Krone Corn Chopper and over a sleeping Powell only realizing what he had done a short while later. Emergency Workers declared him dead at the scene The powell family said Jeffrey died what he loved doing...hunting. The 8th grade student was an avid hunter, fisherman and archer and a state champion in the middle school archery team. His dream was to go big game hunting later in life in Europe His former teacher said he LOVED Science and anything to do with NATURE He enjoyed playing online with his XBOX One and was excited to get the new XBOX Series X for Christmas according to his family.
