Lucinda and I just leveled each other lol Lochs started out empty, by the time we finished it was crowded again.

So a lot of the BiS BLU gear comes from doing the first lv70 quest. The belt, pants, and necklace are from tomes. Completing said quest gives you a coffer with i400 leftside gear AND makes available the i400 accessories that are good in each other slot. You'd have to beat Gogo to get the BiS weapon.

For the second ring, the best may be from O9s. So I'm thinking of getting some folks together to do four runs tops of that fight, unsynced, so we can all get the ring and be good. Paper, would you care to join for this?

Missing about 8 BLU spells, then I'm going to go for perfecting the new Carnivale challenge. Kinda disappointing there's only one new challenge, but I'll take it.

So I have been slowly, but surely, knocking out the unique leve achievements for my crafters since so many of them had done 80-something until now. Once I have 19 more allowances, I will knock out the last two such achievements for Armorer.

I'm also keeping an eye out for some big fish in the First so I can try to polish off the next achievement there.

As for BLU, I am still picking up spells, doing duties with it, and melding the new gear as I prepare myself to take on Gogo. Part of me wants to retry the perfect achievement from Azulmagus as well, as I may or may not have said already, but my priority is getting that latest Masked Carnival stage done with its own perfect achievement.

Then there's the relic grind. Just . . . why does SE hate us so? 15 of one memory being overkill, 18 each of two more for yet more overkill, and then 15 of a fourth item from the new raid so we can pick out our own substats on our weapons. It's by no means difficult. It's just mindnumbingly tedious and boring, and I think my mind has melted in the many runs of Syrcus or Labyrinth I've run in the last few days alone.

AND THEN I am still doing Mentor Roulette four times a day, trying hard not to try reaching through my screen and strangling some of the tanks, and maybe a couple healers. I wish this roulette would at least give me the alliance raids we have to run for the relic, so I can knock out multiple birds with as few stones as possible. Instead I keep getting level 50 or 60 content, or the occasional ShB leveling dungeon, where people who are new assume it's just going to be a faceroll through the content, and said content wastes no time proving them wrong over and over and over...

The end of the current story arc. I'm scared. I've been playing this game for four and a half years, and I know others have been playing it for longer. And in 6.1 they're starting a new story. I'm worried about what that might look like. But Yoshi said he's not going anywhere, he's going to continue developing FFXIV indefinitely he says.

It's a barrier healer like Scholar. And so to balance AST they're turning AST into a pure healer like WHM. I'm scared. That weapon is dope though.

And they said a new Melee is also coming, but they won't talk about it yet.

Sage has some Rune Fencer vibes, as many as Gunbreaker ended up having if not more. So, also, anyone who doesn't like the sound of guns will be in for a bad time if they're in a party with a Mch, a Gnb, and a . . . Sge? Sag?

Just spent several hours on Carnivale 31. Went from dying 3 seconds in to getting the secret title and weapon in that time. The game doesn't tell you this but when you get Pure Azure, then the mamool ja BLU vendor sells a new weapon. Also for Pure Azure you do not need to perform all damage types and magic elements. You just need to beat it in under 6:50 minutes and take no vuln stacks. There is unavoidable damage, but avoidable stacks. I would suggest you take Healer mimicry so you can use Pom Cure instead of White Wind, You will need Exuviation regardless. Also in phase 1, use your Tingle-Whistle-Moon Flute-Sting combo at like 25%~. Should give you plenty of time to finish in under 6:50.

I have all 104 BLU spellls, as of this afternoon. I have started running the Ivalice raids on BLU while the 36-memory step of the relic is active, so that ought to put a small dent in one while also working a bit towards the 50 instances chiev. the droprate of those memories from StB fates is atrocious.

My group just took down our second master trial so far in FFXI, so that's fun :O. glowy lockstyle/glamour weapons get! Got the glowy greatswords from shadowlord/3 beastmen kings fight

I got my BLU clears of T5, T9, and A4s, tonight. I had also completed the achievement for 50 logs with BLU and 22 big fish in The First, today, and the jellyfish achievement from ocean fishing yesterday. So that's a fair deal of stuff I've done while working on other things.

Started o4s on BLU. Exdeath is way easier than I thought he would be. You can final sting him at like 68% which is right when black holes starts so if dps is high enough you won't see black holes.

I have been doing the latest step of the relic grind with Palace of the Dead. I should find some folks willing and able to run floors 51 through 150 (or 160) quickly so we can get our drops. For seventeen relic weapons I'm 5/255 on Artifacts. I ought to take a trip or nine into Delubrum (normal) too for quest and achievement reasons, but I'll get there when I get there.

I also need a bunch of Memories for the Crystal Tower step, and maybe run Castrum a few times for that drop. Whew... things to do.

And tonight I help a FC on Jenova--some buddies I've made over there, though I'm not leaving our fc or server--as we venture into O12s for their mount. I should get an achievement or two out of this, at this point. =)

I have passed 8k commendations on my main character. Next comm reward when, Yoshi? =p

Anywho, I nearly have enough Artifacts to bring my Bard bow up to date, but I also want to make sure the next weapon--probably Drk's greatsword--is ready to take over the quest so I have it active and can keep grabbing more Artifacts for the remaining weapons. Then one of the remaining fourteen jobs can take over the CT/Castrum quest for the loathsome memories.

At some point, I'll probably just sit on those quests with current weapons or jobs so I can finish off the grind on both steps of this relic phase. I'll probably do a bunch of runs of Castrum Litore for the 50x achievement and to knock out a substantial amount of those memories (at least 155).

Friday nights with that one group ought to go a tad smoother while we run O12s. The upgraded bow should give my Bard 6-9% more dps, which translates to 1-2% of the group's overall dps. I say this, because there is one little mechanic they stumble on during what few times we don't push past it, and this damage boost should make that push more of a certainty.

So ladt night the leader of the raid group I've been helping looked at the numbers finally, and she confirmed that I (on Bard) have been doing the most dps of anyone in the group, beating even the Sam and Drg. <_<

So last night my Eden static tried to learn e9s on alt jobs. I'm playing DRK for my alt. We did terribly XD but it was a lot of fun for everyone, and we did get into enrage. So our plan is to clear e9s on alts next Sunday then start e10s. In the meanwhile we're going to continue running Eden on our mains to get more gear and 3 of us still need mounts, and 1 still needs their weapon for the main.

Also tonight doing o4s on BLU, hopefully we've worked out the problems and we can clear tonight!

Cool, so I've upgraded my third relic (Mch) to the i515 step now. I still have one other at 510 (Drk), and twelve at 500 (Pld, Gnb, War, Ast, Sch, Smn, Blm, Rdm, Sam, Mnk, Nin, and Dnc).

While I'm at it, I'm also still doing Mentor Roulette runs (416/2000 atm), earning more commendations than I need for anything (8040-something), some big fishing (23/28 on First world ones, and something like 195/204 in the Source), and achievements from completing unique crafter leves with only Weaver and Alchemist remaining to complete their last two chievs.

Now if I can just go back and finish the BLU story by beating Gogo within the time needed, beat the duals in Bozja, and retry solo Heaven on High to floor 100. Then I'll feel quite accomplished for this expansion. The raid group I've been helping finally beating O12s would be good too, but we'll get there. lol

Good luck! Hopefully tonight my BLU group can finally clear o4s. We've been stuck on GCO for a while. We're going to try a 6 dps comp tonight to see if we can't put out enough damage to final sting before GCO happens.

So, after numerous attempts, I've finally caught one of the worst big fish in the game - The Ruby Dragon.

That leaves seven big fish in the Source, and four in the First; all of them bastards by their own right. If rng can behave long enough, I may get them soon and knock out those achievements.

920/1070 currently obtainable titles. 960 should be doable without much fuss, but anything beyond that going to be a huge pain in the butt

lol grats. I wish I was there to take part in that run.

Anywho, so, I know O12s has echo, but it turns out my Bard has consistently been at 16k dps or shy of it (at i513 or 514). So with a step up in food, more overmelds, maybe a couple accessories from E9s, and some Dex pots, my Bard would basically be where Bards are supposed to be in terms of DPS. Stronger bows might help too, but all in time when the relic upgrade comes in 5.55 or whenever.

The Sam in that raid group finally beat me in numbers last night, and then quit thinking himself the reason we kept wiping. I'm still doing more than the Rdm and Drg though.

So then the raid lead and I took the group into Suzaku Ex. That took a handful of tries with the seven of us, but one of the healers had gone Nin so I changed to Whm. A couple of them in the group looked at me and were like, "What? Wait, your White Mage is just as geared as your Bard? And you main healer?" lol...

Started o8s on BLU last night. Took the entire raid time of 3 hours to go from most of us not really knowing anything about the fight to killing baby kefka. But, hey, progress!

lol... The game sure does love to give the MS dungeons for this; that is for sure. It's almost like not enough people run the MS roulette at all hours of the day, when SE really ought to make those dungeons solo instances. Maybe with a little fat trimmed out like that one scene early on in Castrum that tells you which way to go... in an area that more or less goes the one direction besides the boss room to the left. Like you can have the Scions do stuff, and have them go toward the objective, rather than stopping everyone with a 5-10 second cutscene.

BLU progress has been slow but at least we spent most of last night on Godka. I think if we can get through Forsaken 2 though the rest should be easy.

Also my Savage group got back to alt progging, cleared 9s and got through most of 10s
