"Let's just take a nap for right now," you say as you sit up.

"Alright," she shrugs. "Let's get this put away first."

Raven starts gathering up chess pieces, and after you get underpants back on, you help her. She puts her clothes back on after, and brushes her teeth before returning to the bed.

"Sweet dreams, Raven," you say as you recline back.

"Sweet dreams, Rorek," she chuckles as she lies down.

You close your eyes and let yourself drift off to sleep.

You wake up and the sun is setting, so you turn on a lamp to light up the room. Raven's still there beside you, wearing a tight crop top. You carefully go over and give her a tender kiss on her bellybutton.

You sit up and see it's past 7 PM, so it's definitely dinner time. With Raven still snoozing, you turn on the television to quietly watch...

You watch the local news and see the weather is cooling off for this area. Even though you like Raven in short things showing skin, it'll be nice to not sweat so much yourself.

A lot of local stuff is happening but you don't really need to worry about all of that. The national news is amusing. People are wondering where Raven of the Teen Titans has been, as it seems pretty obvious she isn't with the others back in California. You chuckle but also wonder what the others are thinking of this news report.

Raven stirs and you lean back to watch her a moment. She wakes up, looks over to you and softly smiles.

"Hi," she says.

"Hello there," you say. "You just missed a rather hilarious news report. Or at least, I thought so."

"Oh? What was it about?"

"It seems people are wondering where you've been," you say. "You haven't been with the other Titans for a little bit and people think you've gone missing."

"Really?" she chuckles. "Wow. Are they panicking or something?"

"They don't seem to be," you say. "Just curious perhaps. Maybe a little worried."

Raven laughs a little more as she sits up. She snuggles up to you with her head on your shoulder.

"It's nice to know people want to know where I am," she says. "That I'm part of the norm."

You look at her and smile softly.

"You'll always be wanted, Raven," you say before kissing her gently on the top of her head. "And you'll never be alone."

Raven wraps her arms around yours and squeezes tight as a silent thanks.

With the news going to commercial, you consider dinner options again.

"Let's have some chicken," you say. "Whatever kind of chicken they have in town, we'll go eat it."

"Okay," she says.

You put a shirt on, both of you put jeans, socks and shoes on and head out.

Being that this is a resort town, there aren't any fast food chicken chains like a KFC or Popeye's, but you do find the Yavapai Tavern. You find places to park and then seating in the middle of the restaurant. There are menus on the table and you check them over.

"Not much in the way of chicken," you say. "But I do like the idea of these smocked chicken wings. Ten for $13 sounds like a good deal to share."

"That sounds good," she says. "There's also a lot of unique stuff on here. Bison sliders, a 'Loaded Elk Burger,' and 'The Raptor' that's an ostrich burger."

"Yes, very wild stuff," you say, not really meaning to make a pun. "I wonder if we could get exotic itmes for the Melting Pot..."

"Let's get the wings, the loaded potato skins, and the chips and salsa," she says.

"Yes, that's a good plan," you say.

A waiter comes by and takes your orders, and serves you cola since you're still under 21 before going to the kitchen.

"I think he was confused as to why we basically went with all appetizers," you chuckle.

"Yeah," Raven says.

"So for tomorrow," you say. "We can leave in the morning and make good time to Vegas."

"Ooo, yes, and then we can catch a show," Raven says.

"Right," you say. "Then we'll bring your mother over, right?"

"Right, right," Raven says. "She can join us on the second day. Oh, but what about her clothes? I mean, her Azarath robes are fine, but I dunno, it's not like I was wearing them all the time around your family and stuff."

"Well there's nothing to worry about," you say.

"We can go on a quick little shopping spree in Vegas. We'll get her some nice things to walk around town in, and maybe even some dresses for things like our wedding."

"Oh, that's nice," she says. "Let's definitely do that."

Your orders arrive, and even the chips and salsa look nice.

"Mmm~," Raven says as she looks at the loaded potato skins. "This cheese looks great."

"There's even prickly pear," you say. "Yavapai Tavern is really impressing me with thinking outside the box."

You take a bite and the pear, cheese and onions make for a very juicy appetizer.

"This is good," you say. "Pears, cheese and onions don't sound like a normal combination, but this works somehow."

Raven nods while chewing. The two of you also have scoops of salsa and more sips of soda. Then the moment of truth, having the chicken wings.

"Hot! Hot!" Raven says in response to the sauce.

"I know," you chuckle while feeling the sweat on your forehead immediately. "It's so good!"

Raven skips using the straw and chugs soda from the cup itself. She gasps when she's done and seems to have relieved the spicy heat.

"I don't know... if I can survive... five wings of that," Raven says as she catches her breath.

"It's okay," you say. "If you can't, I'll have what you don't."

She nods as she goes back to the potato skins.

"Do you think we could get dessert?" Raven asks. "Just something a bit more, in case I don't finish my half of the wings."

You check the menu again and see the dessert menu is just one item, the Skillet Cookie Dessert, which is a home made cookie inside a 5 inch skillet and served with ice cream and salted caramel.

"That does sound good," you say.

"You can have one but I'll pass on dessert. After all, I'll probably be very full after having some of the wings in your share."

"That sounds fair."

You and Raven continue to eat, with the chicken wings still bringing the heat. You might need a refill on your soda.

"How are you holding up?" you ask as you finish your third of at least five.

"Refill?" she manages to say.

"I was actually thinking that myself," you say.

You wave your waiter over and ask for more soda, and he nods. He returns with a pitcher, fills your glasses, and you thank him as he leaves the pitcher before heading off. Raven takes big gulps to cool off and you admittedly do drink quite a bit.

Raven basically gives up on the wings so that's two more for you. You focus on the wings and chips and let Raven have the rest of the potato skins. She finishes those off, you do as much as you can with the wings but there's still one left before the waiter returns.

"How was everything?"

"Incredible, actually," you say.

"Wow, thank you!" he says.

"And the lady would like dessert, actually," you say. "One Skillet Cookie Dessert, please."

"I'll bring that out right away," the waiter says before he heads back to the kitchen.

Raven waits while you finish the last wing and the last of your soda. The 5 inch skillet appears, with the vanilla ice cream and salted caramel syrup, and if it weren't for your stomach full of chicken, cheese and so on, you'd want a bite. Raven smiles as she grabs her spoon and digs in.

"So will this be all?" the waiter asks.

"Yes, this is good," you say as you hand him the empty plates. "We'll have the check, too."

"I'll have that right away, sir," the waiter says before he takes the plates away.

"Mmm~!" she says with that very first spoonful. "So good~! Especially after the spicy foods."

"Yes, that does make sense," you say. "Glad you liked it."

The bill arrives and is $33.25. The appetizers were pretty pricey but they were so good, you don't see it as too much. It starts making you wonder how you'll price your own menu when you finally get to it. You use cash to pay and add $6.75 as a 20% tip, and also because it makes for an even $40 from your wallet.

Raven eats two thirds of the five inch cookie, and most of the ice cream.

"This cookie is thick," she says. "Five inches is pretty wide for a cookie, but the skillet itself is deep so the cookie is thick that way, too."

"It's definitely an impressive dessert," you say.

"Are you sure you don't want some?" she asks.

"No, I'm stuffed," you say. "Are you able to finish that? We could get a box."

"Give me another minute," she says.

"Alright," you say.

As Raven takes a breath and looks at the last third of the cookie, you think about reservations for Vegas, namely where to stay while you're out there.

You decide to go with the Luxor, you like that big pyramid they have and the overall Egyptian theme.

As you check on rooms, you see they're very well priced. You can even manage a second room for Raven's mother. You also like the amenities of the pool and hot tubs. Though, you try to not imagine Raven's mother and only Raven using it. It's not easy.

"Are you imagining me in the hotel pool?" Raven asks before sipping more soda.

"Hot tub, actually," you say. "I'm arranging rooms at the Luxor for the three of us."

"Oh, cool," she says. "Wait, you weren't thinking of my mom, too, were you?"

"No, I wouldn't do that," you say.

You keep focused on the phone so you won't be nervous and have Raven detect those emotions.

You get two rooms next to each other on the west side, somewhere above the Pyramid Cafe. But you need to figure out how to check in and have Raven's mother join you. The hotel might question someone else arriving out of thin air.

"I think we're going to need to summon your mother, Arella, before we arrive at the Luxor," you say. "We don't want to confuse the hotel by having a third person magically appear."

"That makes sense. Where and when would we do that?"

"Well it'll get her used to being in a car," you say. "We're all going to be spending quite a lot of time in the car, after all."

"I guess so. And she could even join us for the show we go to see."

"Yes, exactly! We can all see the sights together."

"That sounds fun, actually," Raven says.

Raven finishes off the cookie, the waiter collects the bill and you thank him before leaving.

You return to your room at the lodge, brush your teeth and wash up for the night. You both decide to bring her mother over from Azarath...
