Then two more where I was a passenger. The first we got hit by a school bus and the second was at night and raining, the driver tried to turn left and ran over a divider and ended up in the opposite late, thankfully we didn't hit another car, but we did have to call AAA to get the car drivable again

1 wasnt my fault.
In a parking lot in college a girl in her mustang cut the corner of an oddly shaped lane. She could see my front end, but I was blocked by a truck parked on the end space. The lane bends at that very intersection from the way she was coming.

Of course, the insurance people thought it was 100% my fault...untill I laid google maps on their butts. That got me to only 50% at fault but dang it, there was literally nothing I could do in that situation other then to never leave the parking lot. I would have had to get out of my car, look, and then get back into my car and hope the situation was the same.

The rich girl in her nice mustang wanted us to pay for all of her damages caused by my 10 year old clunker. So glad google maps saved us there.

A roommate I had 2 years later actually had dated her and laughed. He said yeah she was a rich girl and an awful person.

Wait, I was in a second one but I wasnt driving.

In the back seat of a friends car, he opened his car door just as a truck was passing by. The thing snapped off.

About 5 minutes beforr this he and some of the others in the car were laughing at an old man who had fell while using his walker....talk about karma.

Rear-ended once at a stoplight, not even a little bit at fault.

Another time I was driving and the car in front of me stopped without brake lights and I didnt realize they had fully stopped (because she was on her cell phone and rear-ended somebody). I managed to slow down enough to where her trailer hitch just barely poked through my front plastic bumper, but no real damage.

The funny part is that the person who got drilled tried to come after ME for adding additional pain and emotional suffering, but my insurance company shut that shit down real fast.

3 or 4? Couple of minor fender benders with no real damage so the exact number eludes me.

Two bigger ones though.

One was right outside the gate to Ft. Jackson, SC, where there had been an accident on the highway on ramp and a MP who'd just come off the base came over to investigate. While backing up to get to a better spot to check it out he backed up into me and sheared off half my rear bumper, then took off down the on ramp to the highway when he realized. Went on base to talk to the MPs and they wouldn't tell me anything, they covered for the guy hardcore.

Also hydroplaned super bad on the highway in my first car (98 Ford Taurus) and slammed into the divider, totaling it. Looked like a giant had punched a massive dent in the corner of the front. Luckily the highway was empty and I just spun out to the shoulder.

4, though in two cases (including the only one I was at fault for) there was no real damage.

Most notably last year got the front of my car basically ripped off by a woman running a red light as I was turning. Somehow wasn't too hurt at least.

Four.

I was too young to remember the first. My sisters boyfriend was driving for the second and lost control (it was icy). The third one I lost control and hit a guard rail (I dont know what the other three cars nearby were doing, but I seem to remember them surrounding my car). The most recent involved someone who took a turn in a garage a bit wide and scraping my car; she claimed I was going the wrong way.

None. I'm very lucky. I've had a few close calls, such as being pushed over by cars changing lanes without seeing me, as well as close calls where I almost rear-ended someone. Oh, wait, I once slid off the road because I didn't realize just how icy the roads were....I was was really dumb and believed my car thermometer which said the temperature was 42 degrees farenheit (in fact it was below freezing and ice rain froze the road), but luckily I hit nothing and I was able to get right back on the road.

I have fallen off a motorcycle on the freeway though, so there's that. Also accidentally rear-ended someone on the same motorcycle.

Let's see now

- accidentally backed into a parked car when I was 16
- a friend rear-ended someone (who I knew) while I was riding shotgun
- I rolled my dad's focus on the freeway in an ice storm
- I've just barely rear-ended 2 people - did no damage the first time and a slight amount the 2nd time
- was rear-ended with no damage
- a lady ran a flashing red and hit my friend and I at a 90 degree angle at an intersection, while my friend was driving. Got 20 stiches and a forehead scar.

So 7 maybe. Not counting hitting animals.

2 I guess. One was my fault and happened at like half a mile per hour. The other was on a school bus, also fairly minor. Was late to school for obvious reasons and got yelled at for it by my teacher. What an asshole

Two.

One was when I was sixteen, the other guy ran a red and hit me. Heavily damaged my car, if I'd been a foot forward, it might have broken my leg. He didn't have insurance. One was in 2019. I was at fault for that one, but it was a minor rear-end on the freeway. No one was hurt, but my car was so old at that point that even that minor damage made the insurance company declare they wouldn't fix it.

3 fender benders that didn't involve a whole lot of damage. One of them I was at fault for. The other we were both at fault technically as I was backing out of my parking spot and didn't notice someone across the way also backing up, tried to warn them with the horn but they kept backing up into me. No real damage done. The other someone barely rear ended me, minor crack to my bumper that I didn't feel like getting fixed so whatever.

And then 1 major accident. Was driving and had a green light at the upcoming light. Two cars up ahead had made left turns and a third began making a left turn as well. By that point I was already on top of them and couldn't break in time and slammed into them, punching in her front right tire and doing a whole lotta damage to both cars. Both cars totaled. Wasn't gounf at fault as I wasn't speeding and had a green light. Plus it was winter time and the cops at the scene informed me the girl's windshield wasn't fully defrosted yet so she probably didn't even see me coming when she made her turn.

Oh and I've been hit by a car while crossing the street too if that counts!

Plus at least three times that I've scraped a parked car trying to get into a parking space, once that I pulled out of my driveway too fast and smashed a planter, twice that I pulled out of a parking space at college too quickly and backed into a wall (I maintain that those parking spaces are poorly placed; you can't even pull in further than I did because there's a steep grassy incline, and there's not that much space from the building), once when I was still learning to drive that I turned too soon and hit a curb zand once where the back end of my car was taken out in a parking lot by a van swerving to avoid someone entering the lot. TBH, I nearly forgot about the one where I actually hit a car in motion (for certain values of "in motion; it happened in a heavy traffic jam where the blinding sunrise kept me from seeingthat the brake lights came back on almost as soon as they'd turned off) because it is, quite honestly, perhaps the least consequential car accident I've ever had. I'm much worse in parking lots.

1, I was hit while cycling and couldn't walk properly for a week afterwards. It turned out the driver didn't even have a license...

Pretty much unscathed.

I was braking pretty hard right before the fall, and I was also wearing full gear. So even though I slid along the ground for a while, the only injuries I sustained were some scrapes where my gloves failed me. Still have some scars on my wrists but they're pretty minor.

One although it barely qualifies.

The first week I got my Mercedes SLK (after driving around a $1k beater for years), I was rear ended by a Porsche on downhill off-ramp with a light. It was so bizarre, we had already been stopped at the light for a good 30+ seconds and he just kinda rolled into me without the light ever changing. I assume his foot just came off the brake or something.

Was hard to confirm what happened because there was no damage and he refused to even wind down his window, nevermind get out of the car.

I should have reported it just because of how much of an asshole he was. I had a witness in the car if he tried to deny it too

A few. Most of them was when I was a kid, once time I accidentally drove into a mailbox because the rear view mirror fell down and I went down to get it for "just a second" (In my defense the mailbox was stuck out crazy far, even if hitting it is still my fault).

No major injuries in any case, thankfully.

got hit by a car walking to the little island where the button is to cross the road proper. I had right of way and they were going well over what they should have been for that.

Bounced off the hood, bounced off the ground, popped right up and in my delirium waved them off like I was okay. The woman ripped away asap when I waved her off. I should have taken their info etc but I was on an adrenaline high like crazy and not thinking.

Felt great for a few hours, so just assumed I was fine. Went to bed, the next day I realized I had the worst concussion I had ever had. At work one of the other people "Nick you're sitting on the hamburger buns" "I'm not sitting"

I was so out of it I didn't even realize I was sitting. Anyway went to hospital, yeah concussion.
