I got mine done 2 years ago.

Wasn't that bad. After 3 or 4 days the pain went away. Just had to take it easy and at times walk slower. Didnt need a bag of ice or frozen peas lol

They shoot it off with a shotgun then give you a nice prosthetic.

It's not as bad as it sounds. Just extremely painful. They use your screams to power the prosthetic, so you gotta make sure to scream really loudly during sex or else it won't work.

Not sure yet. Consultation is in a couple weeks. Procedure is end of Sept.

Rubberband around the balls until they fall off.
Actually I'm not 100% but i think they poke a hole and stretch the hole out and get in that way.

I got mine done in... 2004 I think. Maybe the end of 2003. It went pretty good. I drove myself home. I wont tell you how it felt. Lol

They said I could drive myself since they only use do local numbing

Make sure a few months after the surgery you send in the semen test sample incase they didn't do it right. Otherwise could get her pregnant again. I never sent mine in, but if I get into another long term relationships I will.

I look forward to taking the sample in and not hiding it in front of people like a boss.

They put me to sleep when they did it.

I threw up shortly afterwards when I got up cause the doze they gave me was heavy. Someone of course had to drive me home I was out of it.

If it was a real issue for her, she could've just as easy gotten her tubes tide. She sounds selfish for forcing your hand too quickly.

But anyways,

Don't pick up anything heavy for atleast a week imo.

I'm getting mine done in a couple of weeks. It's been really annoying because I scheduled the consultation at the end of January for March, then the earliest they could get me in for the actual procedure was the end of May.
I figured everything would be fine at the end of May, since our state was allowing elective procedures at the time, but the clinic still was only doing critical work at the time. Then finally in July they were scheduling procedures again.
Now once its done there is still another 12 weeks before I can check to make sure it was a success.

Thats all cool and all that you wanna do that, but at the same time she needs to respect have patience for you. Not start fights because "you" are procrastinating.

Maybe, but it takes a few months to completely get over the pain. It's not too bad when you're walking around or whatever, but thrusting is completely out of the picture.

TC, I had my procedure a few years ago. With my HMO health plan I only had to pay a $75 specialist copay, which was nice. It was an uncomfortable procedure but it's not going to hurt like you think it might. A good urologist will have it all done in maybe 30 minutes from scalpel to stitches. My coping method during the procedure was to just keep small talking with the doctor. It was kinda cool because he just leveled with me and talked to me like two guys talking at a bar. He laughed and said that his patients either put on headphones and try to zone out, or do exactly what I was doing and just keep talking. He also said skinny white guys have the easiest time during the vasectomy, for what that's worth.

The recovery time was only a few days to be walking around but I didn't have sex for months. You'll be sore for a while but it's all worth it in the end.

Yeah, that's a much more drastic procedure. Plus, I wouldn't be surprised if it kills their sex drive, like a lot of things seem to do these days.

No, I know its not as simple as getting nicked in the balls, it was a poor choice of words on my part, I was speaking in relation to his partner getting into fights with him about procrastinating. Its not up to her to put a time table for him to get it done. This works both ways.

For what its worth, mine are nicked too after having a boy and girl combo. I didnt want my wife to get her tubes tide. But at the same time she respected my wishes when I was ready to go through with it.
