It always struck me as weird how Crichton was pressured by Spielberg to write a sequel to the novel, and then Spielberg just pretty much ignored the sequel book anyway.

When compared to the Jurassic World reboot, I don't think Lost World is that bad. It's at least not as campy as JP3.
It definitely suffered from being too ambitious and biting off more than it can chew. I felt like it had multiple plotlines and then they struggled to bring it together cohesively. --- Anesthesiology resident - PGY 2 ... Copied to Clipboard!

All I want in exchange for my services is the right to hunt one of the Tyrannosaurs, a male, a buck only. How and why are my business now if you don't like those two conditions you're on your own. I enjoy the movie, but it has its flaws. With a little bit of tweaking, it could've recaptured the magic of the original.

I was like 8, and tbh this was one of my favorite movies.

I hate to be that guy, but almost all the Jurassic park films sucked except the first one. I watch it up to this day and while characters were just as dumb as the other movies, at least the special effects in the first movie still hold up. I compare it to Jurassic World and I could see that movie not aging well at all.
