The big reason I prefer it now is to avoid wearing down the physical port. That's a very common point of failure in phones - the less wear I can put on it, the better. --- On Android? That being said, I will probably go from 7T Pro McLaren 5G to the whole damn cycle: OP8, OP8T, OP9, and then maybe the Pixel 6. The CPU situation and strategy of being last phone of the year is bad. Pop-up selfie is great, but moving parts just isn't the right path for an all-screen device. I went from the Pixel 2 to the 7T because I realized that while the camera is great, I really don't need it as much as all the great stuff that the 7T has over the 4. Not to mention the difference in price and it was a no brainer. Shame about the 8 series tho I mean I literally did what you did a generation earlier. I don't know. You're basically going from a Pixel 4 to a Pixel 1 because that's how weak the 4a is. I tried to recalibrate my battery, but I messed it up even more. It shuts down at 40%. I'm gonna try to flash LineageOS and root the phone to see if I can extend its lifespan.
