i havent touched season 2 yet. If any of these are answered, just say that it gets explained in season 2.

-what was Harolds ultimate goal when it came to Vanya learning her powers?
-when the others died in the original timeline, why was Luther holding the eye? It seemed like they fight someone as opposed to the moon crashing on earth
-were Hazel and Cha-Cha actually bad people or were they just doing their job?
-were the guys from the donut shop in the beginning and the guys from the bowling alley Assassins like Hazel and Cha-Cha?
-who is considered the main character? Five or Vanya?
-why was Luther acting as if he was the oldest brother even though they are all the same age?
-who is ultimately the main villain of season 1? Harold?
-technically, all of this could have been prevented had the others been nice to vanya from the start, right?

Yeah, they're pretty different in a lot of aspects, including some characters that are totally different or don't exist at all, and some plot changes. The second season is really awesome so far but I'm only 2 episodes in. It's silly and fun and dark and I'd totally recommend it.

All of your questions are answered in the show or through your own perception of events--good, bad, villain, hero, are all kind of muddied together, like in real life. I'd say watch it again if you really want to get an idea for those things.

-He didnt really have some big evil plan. He thought that he was special his entire life even though people kept telling him otherwise and then he read Vanyas book and really related to what she went through. So he became obsessed with her and wanted her to realize that she was special. Its as straightforward as that
-The implication is that they fought Vanya and lost because Five wasnt there
-Both
-Yeah, they were from the commission
-Five
-Their dad made Luther the leader of their group when they were kids (number one), so hes always seen himself as the one in charge
-that depends on your perspective. To me the main villain of the season is either Vanya, because her causing the apocalypse was the most important part of the plot, or their dad because hes the root of all their issues. Harold is definitely not the main bad guy at all
-Yes

I hope that answers all your questions
