The learning curve at the beginning may be a bit rough as it's very much a "swarm you with enemies" dark souls clone. The cool thing about it is that maps are procedurally generated and so are bosses so it adds replay value in getting certain drops. I tend to just see all the "faults" first these days. It really gets in the way of my enjoyment, but it is what it is.
