-The Cola Wars win over the animation icons.
-Meanwhile, Spidey's awesome rivalry wasn't enough to compete with the entire legacy of superheroes.

Subtitles vs. Dubbings > Brand New vs. Taking Back Sunday, 14-3
Taylor Swift vs. Katy Perry < Marty McFly vs. Biff Tannen, 8-9
PlayStation vs. Xbox > Kim Possible vs. Shego, 10-7

-People weren't emo enough to get over their language preferences.
-The Pop stars barely missed because of bully from 30 years back.
-The up in votals cleared out the match between the console wars and childhood's epic moments.

Little Mac vs. An Arwing In A Boxing Match > Superman vs. Lex Luthor, 12-8

-My last-minute deduction, 30-minutes-in-the-making Paint creation managed to become a success big enough to beat Superman and his most famous arch enemy. Wow.
-Oh, and we had our first blowout of the contest (and what a blowout!).

Eh, that match was true to those rivalries' respective nomination showings, and I doubt Winslow/Wake would have won very many matches anyways, so it's honestly fine. I just felt like commenting with something that was maybe unfair of me to comment, even though I'm still ruing Madeline/Badeline's draw.

I've also started appreciating that match more in retrospect, ever since I realized last night that those are the two rivalries depicted solely in black-and-white in this field. I don't know if that was just a coincidence on your part, but either way, well-played.

-The Flash (particularly Captain Cold) may have needed more exposure to put up a better fight.

Strong day, it seems. Link/Cloud clearly SFF'd Kratos. I also overlooked the bracket's placement for Link/Mario and Mario/Sonic, so Round 3 should be a match for the ages.

A couple of people abstained from the second match, too, so either both entries were too cool or they just didn't resonate with people.

-Not many people seemed to have paid attention to LMS's opinion (me included), but I'm glad it gave me the opportunity to make something clear.
-The machines won this Round.

This particular day made my eyes wide-open. It helped me realize what's popular and what's not, but also that people don't just vote because an image is pretty or there's a certain text. Out of the rivalries from the second match, this is the first time I had heard of any of these characters, so it was pretty interesting to see the actual results.

Also, we had our first really-close, wire-to-wire-match win!
