Years ago before my dad died he gave me a bayonet that a co-worker had given to him. He had apparently found it in an old storage locker that was auctioned off. I did a bunch of research on it and basically determined it was of British make and is the model that was used in and after WW1.

I was checking it out the other day and decided to clean it up and make it pretty again.

That's cool, the pitting on the blade doesn't look too bad either for it's age. You should look into the rifle that it attaches to and pair them up.

Lol unfortunately it's not sharpened anymore. That's one of my next projects. Before that though I need to work on the restoring the leather scabbard for it. Luckily the stitching is still intact so it's just the leather and the metal parts that need cleaning up.

Yeah, it sucks that I can't clean up the pitting without sanding it down, which I don't really want to do. I do plan on trying to find the rifle that goes with it though.
