Like in 10 years can they still feature a Magneto villain that has the holocaust as part of his backstory in 2030?

Can you imagine a 90+ year old Magneto floating through the air, flinging cars into Sentinels?

While in a concentration camp Erik demonstrated his powers. Hydra took him for for study and to see if they could brainwash and weaponize him. They kept him in suspended animation like they did Bucky. Towards the end of the war an Ally attack caused the Nazis/Hydra to retreat and abandon the secret facility and Erik was left in suspended animation until the year 2000 when a younger Charles Xavier was touring through Europe and trying to understand his powers. He detects Erik's thoughts and rescues him they spend then next decade and a half doing mutant stuff before some incident radicalizes Erik, now calling himself Magento. By 2020 Xavier had formed the X-Men and Magneto the Brotherhood of Mutants.

You can adjust the hibernation period to get whatever ideal age you want the characters for the movies.

Lets see...
He can project a force field so strong that it temporary can withstand Galactus, he can fly, he can change Earths mgnetic field, he is a linguistic genius (he once learned an alien language just by reading texts of it in a cave), he can manipulate gravity, he can immobilize people by manipulating the iron in their blood (he defeated the Avengers this way once), he can control the neural chemistry in peoples mind to knock them out, make them sleep and just stand still, not being able to move or use their mutant powers, he can genetically alter lifeforms (including creating enhanced clones of human adults and granting superhuman powers to previously ordinary humans through genetic mutation), he is an engineer in the same class as Tony Stark and Reed Richard, he can create stable traversable wormholes, he can manipulate everything on the electromagnetic spectrum, from radio waves, microwaves and infrared to ultraviolet, x-rays and gamma rays, he got telepathic resistance (even without his helm), he can create astral projections, he can wield Thors Hammer, etc etc...

...but aging slowly is totally impossible!!!

Hydra had the Tesseract, the Space Stone during WW2. Wanda and Pietro got their powers from Hydra experiments with the Mind Stone.

So write that before Hydra settled on Tesseract powered weapons, they first performed human experiments to see if it could yield more super soldiers. Humans freely supplied by Nazi Germany. Most of the experiments are failures but one manages to be successful. TOO successful. He becomes too much for Hydra to control so they put him into stasis. (It's established they had that level of technology to freeze Bucky.)

Boom. Magneto is a mutant and a Holocaust survivor. AND you can use the fact that he was the first and the experiments on Wanda and Pietro were based off of the notes for Magneto to have Magneto spiritually be Wanda's "father". OR they can take things even farther and have Hydra use Magneto's seed to try to breed supersoldiers so he's Wanda's biological father too. (Even have that be the reason WHY Hydra reached out to them.)

Then Magneto's stasis pod defrosts and frees him because the Hydra agents watching over it got dusted by Thanos. He wakes up in time to see mutants start popping up because of Infinity Stone shenanigans (The writers flat out said Thanos' "reduced to atoms" line was literal. The Infinity Stones and their energies were scattered across the universe. Hence, why him "destroying" the stones doesn't cause the bad shit the Ancient One warned about.), see people discriminating against mutants, and there you go.

He should definitely remain Jewish, especially as so many of the writers & artists that created these characters were Jewish in the old days of Marvel such as Jack Kirby, Joe Simon, & Stan Lee.

They could just say his power of magnetism causes him to age more slowly. The bigger problem is that you have to have an excuse for why Xavier is just as old or you lose the whole dynamic between the two of them.
