It's definitely worth your time at that price. What I like most about it is the tools it gives you for fucking around in that world, in a way you can't do so much in GTA. It also can be played as a pretty neat stealth game if you so choose; nonviolent runs are pretty common to see with it.

the story is pretty forgettable, as is the main villain, though, IMO.

and while the cast is comprised of cringey hipster stereotypes, I came around to liking some of them.

but the gameplay is really fun, and it never gets old using your hacking skills to cause chaos.

Marcus, the protagonist of WD2, is totally different than Aiden Pearce.

even though he's serious about his mission, he often comes off as carefree and goofy.

in fact, he and his friends often seem like they're having fun.

This is exactly why I like WD2 so much more than the first one. It's arguably even cringier and dumber, but it's made more bearable by having really good gameplay and a cast of characters that are actually having fun. The mission where you steal a talking car and it turns out to just be Wrench trolling Marcus still makes me laugh. Also it doesn't have serial killer victims as a collectible, fucking hell.

This is also a fair point, I pretty much actively forgot everything about the main story because I was always getting more invested in the side missions. Definitely not a game that prioritizes the story.

The main character wasn't just shit. He was literally deplorable. The torture he subjected his family to was... Well, it made me not want to progress the story even conceptually.

It's considerably better than the first game, but there's something off about it. Vehicles control poorly and the game's badly optimized for PCs.

Yeah it is good and worth $10

But wait for Sunday during the Ubisoft conference. They are gonna reveal Far Cry 6 (with Gus Fring) and a few new games that look interesting including a new Watch Dogs game and a new F2P battle royale.

It's fantastic. Better than GTAV.
I recommend not using guns and try to complete the missions non-lethally.

It was actually the one aspect I disliked. I enjoyed the game overall but it was so jarring having this group of young, carefree hackers seemingly go from printing out slogans on t-shirts and spray painting DedSec logos on walls to happily gunning down dozens of people right from the start of the game. It felt that disjointed I actually went through almost the whole game taking down people only using Marcus' yo-yo thing, never once printed out any weapons or anything.

you can pretty beat most of the missions with the drone and remote car

there's no reason to spend money on anything in game after you buy the drone

I enjoyed Watch Dogs 2 a lot. The setting is gorgeous and I liked the neat twist on side activities e.g. being a rideshare driver
