Texas, Arizona and Florida would still be getting ravaged by Covid because they never wore masks in the first place and werent even testing when the pandemic first started.

so pretty much about the same

GA has undoubtedly been badly affected by the protests. And yeah, I don't think its any coincidence that total US cases skyrocketed like 2 weeks after the protests started

The country re-opened too, but forget that small detail.

The country started opening a while back. GA has been open for over a month but the cases only started skyrocketing again a little over a week ago

Idk how testing has been rolling out other places, but my spouse just semi recently got tested and they work with the elderly.

They just recently got their results back too, after waiting like a week+.

Seems to somewhat depend on the test. When I was in the hospital I got the nose test and my sister had the same test when she went in for surgery (both in GA). Those results came back in like a day or less. Also that test hurts tremendously, the pain is still there by the time you get your results.

My mom got the throat swab test and it took several days to get those results back (also in GA).

We'd have less stupid changes like Wizards of the Coast putting in warnings because racists said orcs are like black people.

Maybe the racists were going off skin color.

Seems pretty obvious that you'd have far fewer new infections without the protests, although they also showed us that all of the "precautions" the government was promoting weren't legitimate because they were ignored. The same government willing to arrest priests to keep those precautions were suddenly all like, "What precautions?", once the protests started.

It shouldn't be that bad, provided it's done right. It was really uncomfortable when I had it done, and that discomfort lingered for a few hours, but if it's still hurting significantly more than a day later then the person doing the test delved too greedily and too deep. That, or you've got some manner of sinusitis going on up there (which can be mostly asymptomatic and also really hard to clear out of there even with antibiotics).

I know my town has had several protests and hasn't had much of any noticeable fallout, but that's mainly because nearly everyone was wearing masks and distancing as much as possible under the circumstances. That's in stark contrast to the fallout we're seeing now after the Trump rally last month, where there were maybe thirty masks among the entire crowd.

That was my experience, but my girlfriend got hers back the next day despite being tested at the same time. The way it's done around here, results are uploaded to an online system, but they're linked to your provincial health card number. Where I don't have a health card for this province, she was able to access hers online, but I had to wait a few days for my results to be sent to the local public health authority so I could call in and get them.
