However, in a statement over the actual arrest, lawyers defending the women said to the effect of (i'm paraphrasing) "that just because these women work in the industry, doesn't mean they can be used." Referring to the women who filed these new charges.....of course there's been a billion of articles since the initial arrest, so I'm trying to find it. You know that being in the industry could mean any part of it, right? Not only sex. And being in the industry doesn't mean they can be used by anyone, right? Depending on the actual company, porn stars can also say no to working with certain porn stars, as well. Meaning that if they didn't want to have sex with him, they don't have to. Certain porn stars even have a list of people they won't work with... So, if he still had sex with them at a place that wasn't a set, or had sex with them when they said no, then it's still rape. The 2017 Rolling Stone article named a few stars who accused Jeremy in the past, like Nina Hartely; but he was acquitted soon after. But in typical MeToo fashion, several other complaints were made. Even though their names haven't been released yet, the DA involved in this recent arrest had made it apparent in a statement that these victims were of the industry as well. I could easily see a world in which people falsely accuse him or change their mind afterwards because they didn't get a roll but I can just as easily see him actually raping someone.
