i just drove by a gym and it was filled straight the fuck up with people sweating and grunting in super-close proximity to each other, ok?

also, i saw some complete dipshit drinking milk and eating eggs and telling another gym-go'er that their opinion didn't matter because they didn't go to school specifically to become a scientist, ok?

Why are people so concerned with what others do? If things are open I've no issue with folk using them. It's my choice if I go in them or not. Providing measures are in place to help keep things as safe as possible and folk actually follow them it's fine to me. I went to the pub for the first time in months the other day as they are now open and everyone I saw was following government guidelines. It was nice not been in a crowded pub for once.

Im not even going to an actual gym, man. Ive been using my shitty community gym early in the morning because nobodys there, and I leave to the cardio room the second someone else wants to share that 10x20 space with me. Usually get about an hour in. Fuck Covid.

I miss squats :(

Its especially stupid because its really easy to get a quality workout at home using just your body. Im doing 300-500 push ups every other day as well as ab workouts, pull ups and dips. Dont need any fancy machines

Because some people value public safety and would like to see this pandemic resolved in a timely fashion. People taking unnecessary risks jeopardize both of those goals.

this exactly. i feel like we should have been well on our way to low numbers, and living like semi-normal again, like other countries have been. but no, i see idiots packing bars, idiots packing gyms, idiots packing fire island and grinding on each other, idiots telling other idiots not to wear masks because #pizzagate, and then those same idiots protesting en masse, ok?

i just want to go to the park with my kid, but i can't because we're a country of idiots who couldn't handle some temporary change, ok?

I would go to the gym to run, though. But thats because I have to practice for a PT test, and its Very different running on the tracks there, and running on like the sidewalk or grass or wherever. That being said, the gym has weird hours. I only gone once since all this started, and I was apparently in there after it closed. I wasnt the only one, though. There were a few others.
