This is why I tend to prefer physical copies.

I have 10+ year old games.

Unfortunately some games are digital only that I like. Or the COVID-19 issue, debating on getting the Friends of Mineral Town remake digital because people who pre ordered early are looking for a wait and a half and I just got money for it.

I should wait but I'm too excited and been feeling too low.

Physical games are better, and it's gonna suck when they go.

Im new to digital this year, and basically sold and rebought my collection (at a discount). All the PSN games are still available if you bought them previously, but it doesnt allow discovery for some older games. Almost all are there, but theres a few missing (Telltales, digimon, ultimate alliance). But I hope physical sticks around, I can see them being around PS6/7.

I'm miss the awesome instruction booklets physical use to have. Now "physical" is just a cheap piece of plastic with an installer.

I don't think they'll vanish yet, but I definitely think they will. And then we'll see a lot more of the bs around ROMs of old games as they're the only thing left of some games. Games vanishing due to music licensing and stuff like that. Just gone forever.

Maybe it won't happen in my lifetime even. But it's going to be a shame when it does.

Might want to get it on Steam or Switch then, they released a complete edition for both. I assume it has the pre order DLC content included.
