At some point, there was a mass migration from MySpace to Facebook, and, of course, it stuck pretty well. Roughly what year do you think this happened?

I don't understand what Poop2 is actually annoyed about. I think that I made a perfectly legitimate question.

If you ask me, I'd say about 2005 or 2006.

It was definitely 2009, because I remember eulogizing it on New Years Eve of 2010.

I don't remember the year, but I remember Kevin Pereira on Attack of the Show talking about how big Facebook was going to be. All I could think of is, "Why? You can't even add music to a Facebook page?"

In 2008 there were still a lot of people using MySpace but Facebook was starting to grow a lot. I think that year was the turning point. I graduated HS that year so I remember it pretty clearly. Around 2009 after my first year of college is when myspace pretty much became an afterthought and everyone was on Facebook.

I think the iPhone coming out and having an app for it and facebook just being a more mobile friendly site in general was the nail in the coffin

Uniformity. Turns out most people have horrible tastes and giving people the power to create their own customized spaces was actually a bad idea.

Facebook gave, at the time, a cleaner more credible option, with real names, limited to college kids and then adults only.

I was in undergrad 03 to 07. People used AIM when I started. Myspace started to take off though, but it was sort of considered for kids or emo people. My university got facebook in early 2005. At first, nobody used it, but in a year, it was basically a must for you to socialize.

That's funny. I remember him saying something like, "We officially declare MySpace uncool."

And I kind of rolled my eyes because I thought that'd never happen.

It started around 2008. MySpace gave people TOO much control over their profiles, whereas Facebook was cleaner and more simpler to use.

The college-only phase of Facebook ended years before the MySpace exodus.
