Final Fantasy kinda died for me with this game, mainly because it was the first to include voice acting and the voice acting was horrendous. English voice acting in Japanese games has gotten better over time but FF X was an early entry in that world and it suffers for it. Somehow got my self locked into the 2nd Seymour fight because I made some bad choices with my ESG. Arguably, I played a similar run 10 years ago. Most Final Fantasy games have the same burn out issue, they're really not meant to be played a dozen times. I love the game, though the pacing is a little sluggish for the first chapter, and the combat in general takes time. Maya remains my favorite character in the whole cast, despite not being playable.
