Vote in the poll if you want, but this whole topic exists just because I want to complain about quests.

Doing a new playthrough and who thought it would be a good idea to have quests 1) spread out all over town 2) tied to items in dungeons you've already beaten, 3) these items are tied to drops by certain enemies who may or may not be rare.

It's not bad game design or anything, but it's super annoying and terribly dated. It feels like a holdover from a prior generation of JRPG's where people had fun grinding for rare monsters. It's a waste of time and it overlevels you.

Getting combo'd by standard enemies and losing hours of progress.

Quests being tied to dungeons you've already done is definitely bad game design imo. It's much better when quests are more of a motivation to like, thoroughly explore the new dungeon you're going to.

Kanji's dungeon by far. Not sure why Naoto's dungeon of all things is on there.

Biggest pet peeve is Namatame's VA very clearly changing in the middle of the scene.

I guess the idea is that it gives you something else to do while you go after the secret bosses but the rng of getting the right monsters to appear and getting the required number of items to drop is just ugh

Honestly, while I love Persona 3-5, none of them have done quests well. P5's quests are short and sweet, so that's nice, but they're all basically the same. Persona 3 is actually better than 4 because all the quests are laid out for you by Elizabeth and you can accept the quests before you actually get to the Tartarus floors. But then the game throws "people wandering into Tartarus" at you, so there's a lot of forced exiting and replaying floors.

Something for P6 to fix maybe. Also make the cast older please.

Ah! I should've added this to the poll. Not void dungeon perse, but the fact that dungeon music starts over after every battle. So basically all you're hearing in Void Quest is the same five or six beeps between battles.

Must of the dungeons suck tbh.

True. I guess I'm thinking more about P3. There's one though where you have to get a certain number of materials in order for Daidara to make a certain piece of armor though. Which made me hate the game.

Of course you can just "not do them" but why not try to make them fun. At least there's no trophy for 100% quest completion.

Dungeon music starting over is most bothersome in Heaven because I actually want to listen to the whole thing.

It's just kinda dumb. They go from completely incompetent at music to good enough to play a song with Rise (a pop idol) in one day.

I put Naoto's dungeon up there because it feels the most bland to me. Like by that point the novelty of the dungeons has pretty much worn out.

Also, out of all the new scenes it is by far the least funny and it comes at a time where you really want to be finishing up your social links, so it just feels like a waste of time.

I mean, it's dumb, but it's pretty inoffensive
