This series somehow keeps surpassing me and getting better and better. I cant believe a Shonen has been able to maintain this level of quality with its storytelling.

I consider Hunter X Hunter and FMA: Brotherhood to be the best examples Of Shonen with top tier stories.

One Piece was consistently good for 45 volumes!

Also I dont find mha consistent because I kinda snooze during the school stuff.

But yeah current stuff is hype and I'm really looking forward to the direction the series might take after this.

Hmm. Overall, would you say One Piece is worth getting into? Im completely blind to the series other than being aware of its Legendary status.

I'm a fan of it! There are parts where I don't know why we have to spend time on it but it's definitely one of my favorites!

I wouldnt say close, but I would say its better than 75% of Shonen stories still.

I am behind by a bit, but I do love MHA!

If you want something in Jump that's consistently incredible, doesn't require an enormous time investment, and unlike anything else on the market, VERY HIGHLY recommend you check out Chainsaw Man. I think it's the best ongoing manga on the market since HxH is...."ongoing" , and every time a chapter comes out is unbridled joy. Truly flawless, and it's only 75 chapters in, too.

Oh yeah definitely. It's a gold standard for shonen despite nothing else really being like it.

And I should have said at least 45 volumes because many people would consider it consistent to this day (and in some ways it is but in some I dont agree).

Can confirm, One Piece is worth getting in to, although it is a massive time sink.

Chainsaw Man is my least-favorite Jump series in a very, very long time, but sure, flawless

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, even if it's heavily against the majority!

For example, I think One Piece has sucked for a long time now and this arc is the worst of it, but mostly everyone seems to be having a real good time with it.

Hot take - Hunter x Hunter isn't anything special and it baffles me that people put it on a pedestal when it's just another shonen but slightly smarter in writing

getting to be a little too much for me, i started mentally checking out when it was revealed deku is getting more quirks

don't really like Shigaraki but I am intrigued about people finding out about all for one and one for all

it's definitely good I'm just not as in love with it as I first was. unlike some people I just like the school shit and I get hungry for it when I don't get dumb shit like the school festival for long stretches of time

Black Clover is also bad!

it at least makes an effort to have its characters develop beyond one note caricatures though

0 chapters

I have high standards for characters, especially when the story is a mess like Chainsaw Man's, and it does not come anywhere close to meeting them

(though, to be fair, act-age is the only current Jump manga that truly excels in that field)

Well, as I said before, to each their own! I think Chainsaw Man is a revolution for Jump, and have little doubt it's going to be a monster once the anime gets officially announced considering how much the fanbase has been swelling over the last several months.

Been meaning to check out Act-Age, but people keep steering me away from it.

Act-age is pretty good.

A little unrealistic for how grounded premise is, but that's also what gives it that shonen sports vibe.

I mean there was a shounen anime about Runway models earlier this year and it ruled. Sometimes going for exaggerated representations of real world events can be the most fun!
