But then I heard every episode is 2 hours and I'm like "Hmmmmmmm........." there's a lot of stuff fighting for your free time these days, is Dexter worth it? In my opinion, yes it's worth it, i've watched it through twice. People remember the fantastic villain in season 4 but forget all the atrocious sideplots. Don't watch it. If you do, go in with the lowest expectations possible. BTW people tend to not rate 3 as highly as 1, 2 and 4 but it had a very interesting dynamic that made it original and sets it apart from the rest. I'm guessing that's just because it was the pilot right? and it picks up? Also Dexter's dad is an idiot and evil. But the show's writing/filming/music was acting like he great a guy. Its jarring. I really hope the show doesn't try to make you sympathize with Dexter, that will not work. Just look at God of War.
