Last time I had a TV die, I was surprised how cheap they had become. Probably even cheaper now.

Yeah they are cheap.

My only question is if I think more than 50 inches is too big for my bedroom or not.

I'm looking at these, trying to decide which one.

Also hoping for at least 3 hdmi ports.

well the 55" CrystalUHD Samsung TV has 3 HDMI slots with one also being an ARC for soundbars.

Really if you are going samsung you got 2 choices for good quality. QLED for the high end experience but you pay that premium or the new CrystalUHD which is nearly approaching QLED levels but its a new 2020 line for the mid-range consumer.

I have the 55" CrystalUHD 4k HDR tv that I bought about 2 months ago and its great.

Goes without saying its a smart TV thats has pretty much every app youd need including appleTV and Alexa integration

See that's where they get me, because best buy has a 65 inch model for 500 right now.

But it would cost me an hdmi port.

Is 10 inches of diagonal worth an hdmi port.

I'm thinking yes.

6 year old TVs are ancient for TV standards. You'll be blown away how cheap good TV's are

Bought a new one in march. 65' 4k Sony for $600. Insane compared to 5-10 years ago

there was this.

But it also has no composite input. That's going to be a deal breaker.

i might have that exact tv, or something close to it, and at almost exactly the same price

Video quality is great, speakers are bad but usable (you're supposed to have external speakers separately anyway). I think this is the right price point to go for, before you start hitting diminishing returns

it's weird that every modern television comes with a microphone and an aggressive alexa equivalent, though.

You did indeed stab me in the back. However, you are only level one, whilst I am level 50. That means I should remain uninjured.

I lied. It was $698 on sale. Now its $900 unfortunately

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07N4N4F1N/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

moral of the story is wait for a sale I guess

Not really, but I do appreciate value spending. Hits a point where I can't feel like the value/$ was worth.

I still don't recommend buying a tv without HDMI 2.1. It's futureproofing.

I have the 55" of the one you linked and its a great TV.

Love it.

I have a soundbar so I can't speak for the internal speakers but the picture looks great. Has a TON of apps and plenty of HDMI
