Now I want to play it -_-

It was a shoot em up where you play escort for a cargo ship that doesn't move from where it is on the left of the screen. One hit kills it. The player ship could take damage, repaired by collecting enemy scrap. You could also use some ability that would suck in all scrap and bullets.

It sounds fun and I curse my sleeping mind for making it up then letting me remember it.

Well then, go and make it! With all the software available out there you have loads of options to use.

Even if I found some shoot em up creation software, I doubt any will offer support for stuff like a ship to protect and something that draws damage into you.

There are actually some lesser know Nintendo systems. I had their Snoopy home arcade G&W system. Might just be an old memory.

Also, escort missions in The Last Federation play like that, but the cargo ship is a little bit more than 1 hit.

One dream I had recently felt like living on giant mushroom-worm island that was both coming out of my intestines and eating other parts of my body in the grave. Had enough thought control before waking up to escape into a monster truck and drive off while running over the beast.
