Yankees posted...
What? Where do you see that?
It was on one of the links Google sends me yesterday, I didn't bother to verify it. Did I get lied to?

I can't find anything but a 8/20/20 release date that has been tentatively set for a long time. Doors of Stone is together with The Winds of Winter for me. I'll believe it when I see it.

This whole topic was inspired because of a link Google sent me. Maybe I need to turn off mobile notifications altogether. It's nice to have things to think about and discuss other than pandemic this and racial tensions that, politics, unemployment, and all the bad things in the world, but if it's just going to tell me sweet lies I'd rather not fool myself.

yeah, now would be the perfect time to sink into one of those two, but I'm tempering my expectations.

On the bright side, Stormlight #4 is definitely coming out this year. Sanderson put up a kickstarter for a Way of Kinds leatherbound edition yesterday, and it is already over 4.5 mil.

Speaking of Doors of Stone, I'm gonna need someone to explain Kingkiller to me. I only read the first one and it was enjoyable enough but basic as fuck. It's the kind of story I'd expect a high schooler to write about their DnD character, except Rothfuss is a good enough writer to make an extremely bland story somewhat entertaining.

Are the second book and novella much better? Am I missing something? Why is this so hyped?

I definitely did not forget to put the 2020 GOTD Guru winner, azuarc in my sig!
