Currently on like episode 8-9 of Eromanga-sensei.
Made me laugh pretty hard. Started this weekend.

No interest on any of the summer anime. Doesn't look like there are any good SoL that isn't in a second+ season.

XC, nice.

I watched a Chinese cartoon called Scissor Seven recently. It's on Netflix, has great action scenes and it's really funny. Best new "anime" I have seen in years. Highly recommend. Watch the original Mandarin audio cause the dub is pretty cringe.

Theres a lot of anime that looks like it could be good next season outside of the sequels. Need to look into em more to see how likely they are to pan out but at least theres some chances for good shows for me. Hope something is as pleasant a surprise as bofuri and villainess were.

Watched the first season and then some, didn't realize it was Chinese not that it really matters one way or the other.

There's this weird anime about socially awkward school council ppl too embarrassed to admit their into each other and leads to death note style out-witting battles of cunning

The only character I like is Chika

It's with a heavy heart that I decided not to go to the local anime con this summer. I've been going for the past eight years, but it's just not worth the risk this year.

Finally started on Jojo, after I found the first season at a dollar store. Loving it.

The original FMA anime did have a fair amount of filler. But it's more about the journey than the destination compared to Brotherhood. And the soundtrack kills Brotherhood's IMO.

Just finished Gintama anime. It's was perfect. 10/10

Not every episode is amazing but there are no bad episodes. It's a mix of comedy, action, drama. The comedy is regular anime jokes, parodies, and references to other anime and pop culture. Action is pretty good. It's just your regular shounen type of action and drama. I started watching this anime when I was in high school 2006 winter break. I was l browsing through people's crunchyroll profiles for ideas on what to watch next and came across a hilarious gif of one of the characters dressed like dbz characters. I was hooked since

Do any of you know any Anime Youtubers that don't focus on Battle Shonen? I am not a fan of that genre, and I'm more of a fan of Slice of Life / Drama exclusively. Every Anime Youtube I've seen mainly focuses on Battle Shonen which I don't really relate to (honestly the last Shonen I watched was FMA; Brotherhood a decade ago).
Like I don't know / care what the hell Jo Jo's Bizarre Adventure is and have no interest in knowing. Same thing with Attack on Titan.

Try Scamboli Reviews. Also if you don't mind that he hasn't put out videos in forever, douchebag chocolat (aka demolition d+) is the best anime youtuber.

Of the more popular ones I'm a fan of gigguk. He has some videos on shonen but plenty of videos on other genres

Lets see. Theres also glass reflection who reviews all types of anime and digibro who breaks down all types of anime although I kind of think he is full of it. Mudantv is a bit smaller but reviews a variety of anime, although a lot of lately was isekai cause he did like an isekai month or something.

I posted this while watching his new Podcast lol. They made a 10 minute tangent about Attack On Titan and I'm like "yea ok", especially after the fact he was the main reason I started watching Eromanga-sensei.

I'm also subscribed to Digibro. That guys recent videos have all been very bizarre lol.

I'll check the other ones out too. I always love more background noise.

I'm actually enjoying that trash taste podcast a fair bit although they've only talked about anime for like 20 minutes of the almost 3 hours I watched. I do think the two they mentioned for a bit were attack on titan and jojo so I guess that makes sense.

Theres not many anime youtubers that never talk about shonen, but I feel like maybe 2/3rds also talk about other shows.

And like I mentioned, demo d+ is still my favorite. He posted another video like 2 months ago which was the first in years. I hope he actually starts posting more again. No one else has his level of editing and snark.

Scamboli is fairly new but every video he puts out has been good IMO. He seems to vibe with a pretty solid variety but probably more focused on drama and less on slice of life I guess.

Mudantv is the editor for lost pause but he's been doing his own videos a year or so now. He really leverages his editing to make some cool/funny skits and intros.

Glass reflection is one of the OGs on youtube. Dude has been reviewing anime for a long ass time. I don't really share his tastes but his video are usually well made enough to get a feel for whatever anime is being reviewed. At this point he also just has a huge body of work. He's got almost 500 videos almost all of which are reviews.

Suddenly found myself in the mood for classic FMA this morning, and after the Lab Five arc I found myself on that episode, today of all days. My dad died when I was pretty young so I don't think about him much now, but I was still upset at the time. My feelings on him are pretty complicated for that and other reasons, so I don't really know what to think of him.

Transformers is more on the anime side of the line, all the more so because there are several Transformers series that are Japan-exclusive (e.g. Super-God Masterforce and Victory) and thus not tailored to American audiences.

Unrelated: For the longest time, I thought K-On! was released in '03. I was a little surprised to learn it was released in '09.
