MLP 9-20- A Horse Shoe-In: oh no, Phyllis ;_; The difficulties of working in a school are real, lol. I enjoyed Trixie's winks, and Trixie in general is a reliably good time.

Lucha 1-25b: The trios champs are still bickering via interview. Kinda weird inaugurating a team division with champs that hate each other, but they're fun I guess. I'm expecting big things from Puma/Drago Title/Career, but also my screwy finish senses are tingling. Also Vampiro and the camera are both reminding us of Konnan's presence about every fifteen seconds. And indeed Puma retains off a (missed?) Hernandez runin. (***1/2)

Lucha 1-26a: Mundo/Alberto are gonna have a match for a shot at Hernandez for a shot at Puma. Weird! I'd kinda rather just see the Puma/Hernandez/Konnan thing play out, even if that seems to have a very obvious finish. Trios title rematch minus the injured Ivelisse and one of the Crew. I do like Angelio and Havoc both quite a bit, and I'm remembering why. Heels over off the numbers game. (***) Cueto promos with....Daivari?....and Konnan et al. Daivari gets some fun character work in, Texano rushes him, and we get an immediate DQ finish with some Shane McMahon tier ground and pound. (N/A) Puma/Hernandez v. Cuerno/Cage next. We like strange bedfellow teams so much I'm expecting Cena to win tag belts. They Call Him Cage gets the win after Hernandez turns on Puma. Cuerno impressed me in this one. (***) The one lady is being held captive by the one luchador. Patron is getting a big face pop for some reason! Spot I've never seen where Patron catches Mundo in the apron lol. Two rather sick (not necessarily the good kind) bumps in a row with Mundo breaking the steps and getting tackled into the railing. Patron over clean! Wasn't expecting that. Not every sequence was super smooth, but it felt like a good main event. (***1/2) Caterina brings back Mil Muertes!

Request put in for next audiobook. As usual very little of what I was interested in was available on CD, and 2020 seems like a bad time to be asking for interlibrary loan shenanigans, so I had to go to the deep (for me) cuts....

Phoenix Unchained (Lackey and somebody else): Setting over/under for Harrier becoming a Wild Mage at end of disc 10.

Smash: Did some online. Got my butt kicked a lot but hey I'm making progress on the Online challenges at least.

Disgaea 2: Chapter 11 started. I don't remember where exactly I fizzled out on my original play of it, but it might've been when the guy said I was gonna do a whole chapter of geo puzzles because the idea briefly occurred to me this time. There's nothing better than a good Geo Panel level, but nothing worse than a bad one. Anyway I got a Star Mage.

Good good! Starlight and Trixie episodes usually deliver a pretty good time!

The Geo Panel levels can be challenging at times, especially when it throws some sort of adverse effect at your party. I remember one of the random item world stages where the entire level was really evil. It had a geo block on the opposite side of the map, and the majority of the field had some sort of effect where you lose 20% of your total health every turn. Like I said, evil. At least the required level stages in the game won't be that oppressive. It's just the item world can pull any sort of RNG shenanigan it wants out of no where.

Phoenix Unleashed: I kinda wanna ship the dudes but I doubt that's actually the direction we're going

Disgaea: One more down! As usual with Disgaea, I have one of every class available to me and I TRY to use them all but past a certain point in the game there are only about a dozen that have really kept up with the necessary XP levels. And then Future Hanako wound up like ten levels ahead of even those guys somehow. At this point I'm leaning on doing a few runs for different endings though, so that'll be a good chance to give the rest a shot. I think I saw that this release has something like Disgaea 1's Etna Mode, too?

LP MGS4 15-2: Kinda fun that we get to go back to Shadow Moses! Dwarf Gecko are cute too.

When I played Disgaea 1 & 2 extensively back in the day, I spent the bulk of my time leveling up Flonne in both games [along with the game's best equipment plus matching rarities, which, when equipment all has the same rarity level, it gains extra percentage bonuses too*]. She became the most powerful character in my saves.

*2 pieces of equipment with the same rarity causes both to receive a 10% increase, 3 gives 20%, and having all 4 gives 30%

I never pay enough attention to rarity but I've stumbled into matching bonus a few times over my career and it is nice!

Flonne is a bit of a challenge to level, but once you've got the right stuff, it can become quite an interesting result.

With weapon rarity, it's a tough thing to match up with most normal weapons, unless it's the highest rank 40 equipment, since those fall into the legendary category by default, so those actually are not too hard to achieve the matching rarity, since the rarity range is such a small set of numbers.

Phoenix Unchained: I have a feeling I am gonna like Samera even if that's probably the end of my ship of the dudes. The dragon bond seems like a fun composite of a few fantasy concepts and I'm looking forward to seeing it play out. ....And that's probably the last I'll listen to for like a week+ since I'm working from home until this project is done.

Trails: Finished the hunt for the guild sign woo. ....If Faye is the Goddess, I wonder if Bleublanc is that guy with a crush on her? I also definitely went over the entirety of the tunnels before I thought to look in the basement, lol. Back to the main plot next time!

Phoenix Unchained: oh man, Bisachim heel turn. I do kinda like those "balance" motivated characters though, or really any character that can shift between protagonist and antagonist depending on the situation. Although he seems now more like somebody who's going to be led astray.

Disgaea 2: One more map down! I have the Cave of Ordeals bill, but couldn't quite pass it on my first attempt. (and don't have enough mana to try again) I think I might've had a better shot if there wasn't a Legendary Senator. Next time, perhaps!

Picked up Ring Fit Adventure because I really need to be less sedentary and it might take a vidja game to make that happen. Ran the first level a couple times and man this is gonna be a long road but hey baby steps.

Messed with some Smash, too.

Disgaea 2: It can be tough to pass certain bills in the game. There are times where I'll just go for the fight option and force the bill to be passed by defeating the NAY voting senators. Of course, that requires a strong enough team to defeat them all.

Ring Fit: Beat the first boss fight. Ring Fit might be fun for Smash actually- you've got Dragaux or Ring as a character, some fun stage options, and Tipp or the main character could be a Wii Fit echo. Anyway my legs don't work now.

it is ok; comes between Dune and the first couple books of ASoIaF on my ranking of stuff I've listened to in the past few years. I'm not eagerly looking forward to my commute like with a Cosmere or an Ender, but I'm not debating pitching it like later GRRM or the middle of WoT. Was kinda hoping it would land a bit higher on the scale since Lackey is one of the few fantasy authors I've actually heard of, and it still might because we're pretty early on. But I do get pretty salty over character deaths sometimes, and our apparent villain is....an archetype I would enjoy a lot more if it wasn't 2020. Once we get more characters and more worldbuilding, though, it could wind up going some places.

Aria 2-25- The Fruits of that Encounter...: As a test of their entertaining chops, the main three are tasked with planning and hosting the annual Redentore party. Most of the regular cast shows up, including Ai, which is always fun. Things are nice and comfy and there are fireworks. A commenter pointed out that this feels like a season finale even though that's next episode, and I am inclined to agree.

Smash: I do not have my head wrapped around Steve yet but he's fun to play! Enderman joins Incineroar and Jigglypuff in the "I really wish I could make them work" pile.

Phoenix Unchained: Oh dang, I didn't realize how close we were to the end. Seems like a weird point in the story for that- we're gearing up to renew our journey but it doesn't feel like a climax.

Gunnerkrigg: Man it's been way too long between reading this uh what are we doing even. Whatever it was, we wrapped it up pretty quickly and did some pretty fun side story things. SPACEMONAUTS.

Hey guess what came up in the rotation

MLP 9-21- Daring Doubt: ...This episode aged REAL weird in light of Recent Events with JKR. (and my dropping of ASoIaF) Setting that aside, this was a pretty strong episode I thought! Development and face turns for everybody, some good Fluttershy moments, and Rainbow Dash.

Phoenix Unchained: Beated. I was kinda right after all about the Harrier thing, lol. And it was a nice way to end. I'm not quite sure why we keep getting equine waifus but hey the unicorn seems entertaining and I hope she sticks around. I'd say this was pretty middle of the road; I'd be interested in continuing but I'm also not on pins and needles to get to the library for the next installment. Which is good because I'm probably back to rarely leaving my apartment :D;;

Lucha 1-27- Ancient Medallions: Opener is Aerostar against the debuting Jack Evans, should be good! And it was, assuming you like the rather choreographed flippydoos as much as I do. Aerostar goes over the overly cocky Evans. (***1/2) Bit of a Mack/Ryck confrontation, and now there's...a 7-way, for the first of the Medallions! I know more about where this is going than has been shown, thanks to TEW, but it looks fun. There's a sequence between Penta and Fenix and I'd honestly kinda rather just watch that as a full match, nothing against some of these other people. Lots of crazy looking bumps here, geeze. If I liked Sexy Star I'd be annoyed at how little the dudes are selling for her. She breaks up a double pin at 3.1 lol. Penta with like a package piledriver and widow's peak or something on Sexy and Fenix, daggum. Fenix > Penta in a gloriously indy spotfest.

FE: End of Chapter 20 kicked my butt but I have ideas for next time. I gotta get over my habit of seeing three different fronts I could fight on and trying to split my forces to do all three at the same time ^^;;

So, this week, I'm actually going to attempt to acquire a PS5, which will probably have not the greatest chance of happening, but I'm going to try anyway.

As for other stuff, I haven't been focusing on a specific game as of late, I'm just kind of playing whatever grabs my attention on a specific day.

Also, over the last several weeks, I have been rewatching MLP:FiM once more, and after a few episodes each day, my next one is Inspiration Manifestation, the 23rd episode of Season 4.

Yesterday did not pan out for the PS5 hunt, it sold out minutes after it went up on many different sites I tried. Some even just straight up crashed due to the overwhelming volume of site traffic.

I'll keep trying back at random times, and maybe it might pop-up as a restock somewhere? We shall see.

The PS5 search has been a road to nowhere, but, with the extremely limited stock, I guess that should be the expected outcome.

Other than that, I tore through more episodes in my watch through over the last several days, clearing through S5E19 so far.

I also have been replaying the two Resident Evil Umbrella Chronicles & Darkside Chronicles titles on PS3. As they are on rails shooters, the length is pretty short, all things considering.

For instance, Resident Evil 0 is part of one of the titles, and while original game takes several hours to clear, the portion found in Umbrella Chronicles is at best, 45 minutes total.

Aria 2-26- That White, Kind City....: It's season finale time, and Akari is uncharacteristically pensive and introspective. We spend a lot of time thinking about growing up, and maybe following in Alicia's footsteps. We also make a big snowman with several assists from the locals. Particularly comfy even by this show's standards, and a bit of character development as well! Nice.

Wifebolo and I finished Outlaw Star! I can't help but compare it to Cowboy Bebop and rate it a notch lower, but ain't no shame in that. I really appreciated the use of color palettes in this one. Next up (maybe) is Digimon 2020.

Messed around with Dicey Dungeons a bit. Is fun! Won with Warrior but lost towards the end with the next few characters. Robot is pretty fun.

I have been progressing through the show much faster than I anticipated, and will easily finish a full run of FiM in the next several days, since I'm at the beginning of Season 9 already.

Also, I went to the game store the other day [GameXchange], and picked the PS2 game Dirge of Cerberus, a side story game based off of Final Fantasy VII. So far, I finished the game's first chapter.

Finally watched live action Mulan.

I really enjoyed it. Very different from the original while still keeping the major story beats.

Great choice to do it's own thing.
