Attorney General Keith Ellison said today as they build a case against the 4 officers and upgraded Derek Chauvin's charge from 3rd degree to 2nd degree murder, he said that winning a conviction will be HARD!!

He issued the ominous words while discussing the case against all 4 officers now, including the other 3 who are charged with aiding and abetting. Thomas Lane, Alexander Keung and Tou Thao will now be charged with felonies as well as second degree murder and manslaughter

He said history has shown there are clear challenges in getting guilty verdicts for cops but pointed out that Hennepin Atty. Mike Freeman is the right man for the job and only lawyer in Minnesota to convict a cop of murder

He is also asking anyone who has information to come forward on Floyd's death to come forward and made it clear he will not rush the case to trial despite what video evidence they have and what the public has seen and is begging the public ot let them gather more evidence to make this right.

I don't see any way that goes through. It's hard enough to get a manslaughter charge on a cop, this almost feels like they're trying to get them off.

If theyre acquitted there will be hell to pay. And the trigger happy police will take their brutality to new levels.

No shit it'll be hard to convict the four. Even getting Chauvin is going to be difficult, so the charges they're trying to push on the others is a longshot.

Im surprised they upgraded the charges, specifically because moving from manslaughter to 2nd degree now means they need to prove intent, which is going to be hard to do (at least enough for a conviction).
