So yeah, the season is practically worthless for me. I've only read 1/4 of the novel, but it was pretty damn good. Was never really boring, but I felt the beginning was more interesting than the middle/end. Not sure if it made me want to read the manga. Between ~~Gin's funeral~~, ~~Sumi losing her memories~~, and ~~Sonoko saying goodbye to her before going mankai a few more times~~ in the last battle... god, that was heartwrenching. Shit like this is why I have a cute and lighthearted anime like B Gata H Kei to watch alongside the super depressing anime. I'm going to watch the second half of the season (AKA the actual sequel to the original Yuki Yuna Is A Hero) soon too. The actual sequel part actually wasn't as soul-crushingly depressing as I expected... but the ending was certainly way more badass than I expected. Yuna ended up joining Madoka in the "I ~~became a god~~" club and Hibiki in the "I ~~fisted a god~~" club at the same time. Awesome ending to an awesome series, 9/10. Currently the only anime I am actively watching are Fruits Basket S2 every now and then when the dub comes out, and Fire Force S2. I do have Tower of God to catch up on and I think God of High School has their first episode up.
