Generally when watching anime/any other show I feel a little more immersed when I'm right up next to the computer screen with headphones. I'll check if they have a PS4 app though and maybe just watch that way on my TV. So I just jabbed my screen a bunch of times with my finger and the overlay/UI disappeared. Just for future reference if anyone else has that issue.
