Looking to start building my collection, what're your top picks? Been jamming boardgamegeeks.com a bit but there's a shitload of content.

All I have right now is:
Citadels + the expansion
Catan + a few expansions
Sushi Go + the expansion
Hanabi (very tough...)

I really like the look of Wingspan so that may be next.
Viticulture and the expansions look fucking awesome but it's really difficult to find.

Azul looks great, especially as I bloody love the Al Hambra and the Moorish influence there.

Five Tribes, Carcassonne and Kingdom Builder are three faves that fit pretty well with what you listed.

Dominion is a great "learn to deckbuilder" game, but a lot of people have played it out over the years.

Stone Age and Village are two great Worker Placement games, but both have had some supply issues in the past. could be tricky to find.

My absolute favorite board game, Battlestar Galactica, is nearly impossible to find at a good price these days (and will never be, because the license has lapsed). It's a team game, so it needs 4+ to really function, but the twist is no one is really sure who is on which team at first (and even then, some players may switch teams halfway through). the tension that builds over the game is amazing. One mechanic, though, is iffy, and gets replaced in the second expansion, which i can't even imagine playing without anymore. So, an already expensive starting point really needs a second purchase, too. It also really helps if everyone enjoys the show it's based on.

Oh, I have played and love Carcassonne. I'll add that to my list and look into the others.

I love the idea of co op board games too, I believe we played one called Dead of Winter and it was a blast.

Keyflower
Codenames
Secret Hitler
Lazer Ryderz

Highly recommend Millennium Blades as well because the concept is so good.

Recently played the Binding of Isaac: Four Souls and it's decent as well, though the balance is kinda wacky and one player can completely dominate the game if they're a bit on the lucky side.

If you like co-op check out Flashpoint: Fire Rescue and Burgle Bros.

Azul is fun. Me and my mates almost always bust that one out when we hang out.

I'd also recommend 7 Wonders.

7 Wonders is pretty good. There's a game called It's a Wonderful World that is kinda similar in feel to 7 Wonders but I like it a bit more.
