BalanceLost 05/28/20 2:21:01 PM #1:	The Iron Axis was an agreement between the centre-left Socialdemocrats and the right-wing Conservatives to keep strict immigration laws. The Conservatives broke the axis in the early 00s when the more Neoliberal elements of the party seized power of the party after the catastrophic election result of 2002. The more far-left elements of the SocDems then gained power within the SocDems. The Conservatives held the prime-ministership from October 2006 to October 2014 and had a toxic cocktail of tax cuts, deregulations and open borders. The SocDems then began to turn to stricter policies in 2015 and the Conservatives followed. Now the SocDems and Conservatives seem to be in agreement on a new major policy proposal from a parliamentary committee on immigration. Today I saw both far-left and Neoliberal news editorials warning about the return of the Iron Axis.
