It's in pretty rough shape. Also can't find a vet office that's open. It seems to have a bad eye infection, is covered in fleas, and is badly malnourished. I'm gonna try and save it.

I found a kitten like that once. It took a liking to me. But I had just gotten a kitten. I was going to try to take care of it, but a co-worker begged me for it (which is funny because not even a week ago, another co-worker was giving away kittens and tried to get him to take one). Anyway, I let him take care of it, but it didn't make it. It did stay alive for a little, but not for that long...

Sometimes i watch VetRanch because i see shit like this on there. Animals in bad shaoe rehabbed and healthy.

I love seeing dogs and cats who are mean AF and not trusting of humans respond warmly over time to love when left in nurturing hands and happy and playful and love to be scritched.

Be sure to bathe it well and comb it to get rid of any fleas. No clue what to do about the eye infection, but do what you can and maybe utilize google if you really can't find a vet.

Buddy of mine adopted a feral kitty about 15 years ago. He actually wondered if she could have been the daughter or granddaughter of his previous cat, who had run away when one of his old roommates left the door open (this cat had very similar coloring to his other one, and where he found her was within a mile of his old apartment, so it's not impossible). Took her a few days to acclimate to a domestic environment, but once she did, she literally never left the apartment voluntarily again. Most she would do was walk up to an open door, poke her snout over the threshold and sniff the air a few times, as if to convince herself that it still smelled the same, then she'd go back to her kitty bed. She was also terrified of thunderstorms for a while (he found her at the tail end of a Southern summer, and she'd been out in it all that time), and would curl up with him whenever one blew through. She was a very sweet cat.

My brother's adopted stray went absolutely bonkers if left in the house. It only wanted to come in at night (up until one night years later when it didn't come back). One of the strays I had growing up was somewhat similar but not as destructive.

We have one that it seems the mom just up and left. Was a little runty thing, based on some of her development she had to be about a month old but she could curl up and fit in the palm of my hand. Spouse has seen a cat with kittens since that they think is probably the mom.

But she was screaming all alone for hours, with none of them around.

She's about 7 months old now.

Idk what the area is like there, and that's definitely possible. You'd be surprised what little ones can get themselves into though too. Depending on the can set up I could also see them trying to go for food and getting stuck. But I don't know the area or the can set up.

Just hard to think someone would do that I guess.

Kitten is doing very well today. Eyes are starting to clear up and he's very playful. I think I've gotten all the fleas dealt with. Him and my three year old son are becoming besties. He also likes riding around on our Roomba. I've started calling him furface but that probably won't be his name
