yes if you ignore someone then you cannot see their posts at all. Though it is possible to see their posts if someone else quotes it but you have to enable that option
If you block someone that adds them to your ignore list but also stops them from seeing your posts

If you're just Ignored you can still see their content but they can't see yours I think. If you're blocked it goes both ways

People who block others online are the biggest pussies the worlds ever known. Real life has no block feature, you're going to run into others with differencs in opinion. Grow up.

Ignoring somebody = you don't see their posts

Blocking somebody = you don't see their posts, and they also don't see yours (also can't see other people's posts if they have quoted your post)

Blocking people is a great way to banish a troll from a topic you've made. LOL at the people who act proud that they don't block anybody even the moron trolls.

Oh please. It's not always a matter of opinion that causes conflict between users. There are genuine trolls and hateful/aggressive people and I happily block them so they don't intrude on my topics with their stupidity. It has enhanced my time here significantly. You do you though, enjoy all the trolls.

And btw you actually can remove people from your life IRL, and it's also a good thing to do if somebody is being toxic to you.
