Then oh what the hell is this, he lifts up his robe and holy wtf there are kids under there, starving to death, gray skinned, diseased, staring through your soul knowing that you have and they don't, knowing they've been swept under the rug because nobody wants them, nobody wants to look at them, nobody wants to think about them. And the dude freaking knows it. He is fully aware of it at all times, even aware that it is a statement directly against the man himself, and he's just cool with it. Why? How can he accept this? Others had but didn't take it. Some had and took it, and then it all came crashing back down again. Scrooge mostly just didn't know. He doesn't care either, but he doesn't care because he doesn't know. When he met the Ghost of Christmas Present, he was horrified, he was mindblown, he asked questions he had just recently given the answers to because he had no idea what the condition of man really was. And when he head hos own answers repeated back to him, he realized just how ignorant he really was. But Christmas Present knows. And he cares. He cares enough to hold guys like Scrooge accountable. He cares enough to expose the dark underbelly of the world. I was going somewhere with that but then I got sidetracked and now rather than rewrite like the whole thing I'm just gonna post it. While I was in my loser 20s playing xbox all day and thinking about girls. I couldn't socalize worth a lick but guess what now I can. The tides have turned but a lil too late for me. That's the part that rubs my balls the wrong way. Bad timing but it was mostly like that for 30 plus years.
